This role is focused on the administration, governance, security, optimisation and operational support of SAP Datasphere and SAC platforms. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring reliable, secure and scalable analytics environments while collaborating with business stakeholders, data engineers, BI developers, cloud teams and information security teams. This opportunity is based in Pune and offers exposure to enterprise-scale analytics, cloud data platforms and transformation initiatives within a global telecommunications environment.\nWhat you’ll do\nSAP Datasphere Administration\nManage tenants, spaces, resource allocation, quotas, user groups and role assignments.\nEstablish and maintain platform standards, naming conventions and lifecycle governance.\nConfigure, monitor and troubleshoot SAP and non-SAP connectivity including OData, ODBC and JDBC integrations.\nManage data replication, virtualisation, data products and datasets.\nGovern semantic models, views, lineage and technical documentation.\nMonitor data loads, query performance and storage utilisation to improve platform efficiency and cost optimisation.\nImplement and maintain role-based access controls, data protection measures and audit compliance requirements.\nSupport incident management, root cause analysis and continuous service improvement activities.\nPlan, validate and support SAP platform updates, patches and feature implementations.\nSAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) Administration\nManage tenant provisioning, licensing, environment administration and capacity planning.\nAdminister folders, teams, authorisations and user access controls.\nConfigure and support SSO, SAML and directory integrations including Azure AD and Okta.\nGovern the lifecycle of stories, dashboards, analytical applications, planning artefacts and deployed content.\nMonitor platform performance, refresh schedules and data source connectivity.\nOptimise report and dashboard performance to enhance user experience.\nMaintain row-level security, audit trails and data privacy controls.\nProvide L2 and L3 support, knowledge sharing and platform enablement for users.\nCross-Platform Operations\nCollaborate with SAP BW/4HANA, S/4HANA, SAP HANA, SAP BTP and non-SAP data platform teams.\nSupport automation of administrative activities through scripting, APIs and monitoring solutions.\nContribute to DevOps practices, content transport processes and operational governance.\nMaintain operational runbooks, architecture documentation and platform standards.\nPartner with stakeholders to meet service level agreements, operational objectives and strategic roadmap commitments.\nWho you are\nEssential Skills & Experience\nStrong experience in SAP Datasphere administration, including spaces, roles, connectivity management and platform monitoring.\nExperience administering SAP Analytics Cloud environments, security models and content governance frameworks.\nKnowledge of security and identity management protocols including SSO, SAML, SCIM or LDAP integrations.\nExperience with Azure AD, Okta or similar identity platforms.\nUnderstanding of platform performance monitoring, scheduling, troubleshooting and capacity management.\nWorking knowledge of SAP BW/4HANA, SAP S/4HANA CDS views and SAP HANA.\nFamiliarity with non-SAP data platforms such as SQL Server, Snowflake or equivalent technologies.\nExperience in incident, problem and change management processes with an understanding of ITIL practices.\nAbility to communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.\nStrong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced and evolving environment.\nDesired Skills & Experience\nTelecom domain knowledge.\nExperience in data warehousing environments.\nUnderstanding of enterprise architecture principles.\nExposure to automation, scripting and analytics platform DevOps practices.\nExperience working within large global organisations.\nEducation & Qualifications\nGraduate or Postgraduate qualification, preferably in Engineering or a related technical discipline.\nStrong understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies.\nBehavioural Competencies\nExcellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.\nStrong interpersonal and collaboration skills.\nAbility to identify risks, process gaps and technical debt proactively.\nCustomer-focused and delivery-oriented mindset.\nCommitment to continuous improvement and innovation.\nAbility to perform effectively in a challenging and dynamic environment.\nStrong alignment with Vodafone values of Speed, Simplicity, Trust, Innovation, Customer Focus, Ambition and Collaboration.\nNot a perfect fit?\nConcerned you may not meet every requirement?
