The role holder will be expected to undertake regular health assessments to ensure that all aspects of the role is carried out safely \nAdherence to quality and H&S standards as well as achieving agreed performance targets is essential to this role\nThe role holder must have a flexible approach to working hours and be willing to travel if required to meet the demands of the business \nThe candidate will be expected to participate in a 24/7 callout rota and / or shift pattern as and when required in alignment with the requirements of the Operating Unit you are assigned to \nThe Field Engineering role is a physical one, with the need for manual lifting, climbing stairs, walking and being on your feet for large parts of the day, working in both inside and outside environments\n\nWho you are\nPlease note, Candidates must hold SC Clearance or be eligible for SC Clearance. To become eligible for SC Clearance candidates must be able to demonstrate residency in the UK for the past 5 years.\nFormal telecoms/electronic qualification or equivalent experience gained through previous roles. \nProvision of service, fault diagnosis and rectification of relevant telecoms technologies. Multi-vendor CPE including Cisco, Juniper and ADVA, Core transmission technologies including DWDM and Ethernet \nMobile networking technologies 3G/4G/5G and associated equipment \nMicrowave Radio \nSwitch and Field DC power systems, Fibre and copper cabling and termination \nAbility to work both in a team and on your own efficiently and effectively \nA considerable amount of the role consists of lone working and so the ability to work efficiently, safely and independently is a must \nAbility to work in a focused manner under pressure to meet tight deadlines \nAbility to manage own workload to best meet the demands of the business \nAdaptability and the ability to learn new skills quickly \nPC skills (IT Literacy) \nValid / full UK / EU driving license (Category B) \nExcellent customer-facing skills \nAbility to achieve and maintain SC clearance status \nAbility to achieve and maintain Advanced Climber / Tower Rescue Certification and passing regular health assessments in accordance with MATS guidance.\nWorried that you don’t meet all the desired criteria exactly?\nWe know that everyone is unique, with multiple aspects to their identity and different experiences behind them.
