The role holder will be expected to undertake regular health assessments to ensure that all aspects of the role is carried out safely - Climbing Technician Only\nAdherence to quality and H&S standards as well as achieving agreed performance targets is essential to this role\nThe role holder must have a flexible approach to working hours and be willing to travel if required to meet the demands of the business \nThe role holder may be required to work an out of hours pre-planned works rota in alignment with the requirements of the Operating Unit you are assigned to but will not be on-call.\nRooftop based working including the use of ladders up to 3 metres is essential and the role holder will be expected to undertake regular health assessments to ensure that all physical aspects of the role may be carried out safely\nThe Field Engineering role is a physical one, with the need for manual lifting, climbing stairs, walking and being on your feet for large parts of the day, working in both inside and outside environments\nWho you are\nFormal telecoms/electronic qualification or equivalent experience gained through previous roles.\nHands on experience of the following telecoms technologies\nCore transmission technologies e.g. DWDM and Ethernet\nFibre and copper cabling and termination\nMulti-Vendor CPE and Unified Communications \nMobile networking technologies 3G/4G/5G and associated equipment\nMicrowave Radio\nAbility to work both in a team and on your own efficiently and effectively\nA considerable amount of the role consists of lone working and so the ability to work efficiently, safely and independently is a must\nAbility to work in a focused manner under pressure to meet tight deadlines\nAbility to manage own workload to best meet the demands of the business\nAdaptability and the ability to learn new skills quickly\nPC skills (IT Literacy)\nValid / full UK / EU driving license (Category B)\nExcellent customer-facing skills\nAbility to achieve and maintain SC clearance status \nAbility to achieve and maintain Advanced Climber / Tower Rescue Certification and passing regular health assessments in accordance with MATS guidance. - Climbing Technician Only\nIP & Data accreditations - e.g. Cisco CCNA / CCNP\nWireless Network design and deployment\nLAN/WIFI and peripheral equipment’s\nUnified communications solutions\nSwitch and Field DC power systems\n\nWorried that you don’t meet all the desired criteria exactly?\nWe know that everyone is unique, with multiple aspects to their identity and different experiences behind them.
