This role is focused on ensuring service availability, operational resilience and SLA/KPI compliance through proactive monitoring, incident management, troubleshooting and continual service improvement. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business-critical applications, drive automation initiatives and contribute to observability and AI-enabled operational enhancements.\nWhat you will do\nProvide L2 operational support and technical ownership for AWS-hosted microservices and REST API services.\nMonitor application health and perform structured troubleshooting across application, API, container, network, DNS and access layers.\nInvestigate and resolve production issues impacting cloud-native applications and platform services.\nSupport incident, problem and service request management processes, including P1/P2 incident recovery activities.\nPerform root cause analysis, maintain known error records and drive corrective actions to closure.\nMonitor SLA/KPI performance, minimise breach risks and maintain operational documentation and runbooks.\nTroubleshoot AWS services including VPC, Route 53, WAF, IAM, Load Balancers, certificates, secrets and networking components.\nManage and support Amazon EKS/Kubernetes environments including clusters, pods, deployments, services, ingress, ConfigMaps, Secrets and autoscaling.\nUtilise logs, metrics, traces and monitoring tools to diagnose issues and validate service restoration.\nDevelop and maintain dashboards, alerts, synthetic monitoring and health checks to improve service visibility.\nAutomate repetitive operational activities using Shell scripting, Python and AWS-native automation capabilities.\nSupport responsible AI and AIOps initiatives including event correlation, anomaly detection, incident summarisation and guided remediation.\nParticipate in operational reviews, governance activities, audit readiness checks and continual service improvement initiatives.\nCollaborate effectively with platform, network, security, database and vendor teams to ensure service stability.\nWho you are\n3 to 5 years of experience in IT Operations, Application Operations, Cloud Support, Production Support, Site Reliability Engineering or related environments.\nHands-on experience supporting AWS-hosted microservices, REST APIs and Amazon EKS/Kubernetes platforms.\nStrong understanding of HTTP methods, status codes, JSON, authentication, TLS, latency, retries and API troubleshooting.\nPractical experience with AWS services such as VPC, Route 53, WAF, IAM, CloudWatch, ECR and Secrets Manager.\nProficiency in Linux/Unix administration, log analysis and scripting using Shell and/or Python.\nExperience using monitoring and observability platforms such as CloudWatch, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Kibana, Splunk, Datadog, Prometheus or Grafana.\nKnowledge of incident, problem, change and service request processes aligned to ITIL practices.\nFamiliarity with container technologies, Helm, CI/CD pipelines, GitOps processes and rollback procedures.\nExposure to CloudFormation, Terraform, Argo CD, CloudTrail, Systems Manager or Auto Scaling is advantageous.\nUnderstanding of AIOps, machine-assisted operational workflows or GenAI-assisted support practices is desirable.\nStrong analytical, communication, stakeholder management and documentation skills.\nBachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.\nAWS and ITIL certifications are preferred.\nNot a Perfect Fit?\nConcerned you may not meet every requirement?
