The role combines hands-on cloud operations with troubleshooting, infrastructure monitoring, automation and participation in technical projects.\nYou will work across cloud, virtualisation, networking, storage and compute technologies, collaborating with technical teams, NOC engineers, operations colleagues and third-party technology vendors. Success will be reflected in cloud solution availability and performance, incident resolution times and effective management of the monthly backlog.\nWhat you’ll do\nAdminister business-critical Core Cloud applications and platforms.\nTroubleshoot incidents and faults, implementing both temporary fixes and permanent corrective actions.\nCollaborate with third-party hardware and software vendors to resolve issues within expected timeframes.\nPerform routine monitoring and health checks across Cloud systems.Implement automated incident detection and continuously optimise system monitoring.\nContribute to new projects by providing technical input and implementing or validating process and work-instruction improvements.\nVerify infrastructure and platform configuration changes.\nCollaborate with customer technical teams, NOC engineers, operations managers and other Service Delivery teams.\nSupport continuous improvement in Cloud platform availability, performance and operational efficiency.\nWho you are\nAt least 5 years of experience in a large enterprise environment, with practical experience in troubleshooting, problem solving and technical analysis.\nGood knowledge of Cloud technologies and CaaS, PaaS and IaaS.\nExcellent practical experience with virtualisation and networking.\nGood knowledge of storage, SAN and compute technologies.\nKnowledge of vROps, PowerCLI and DevOps tools.\nGood knowledge of automation technologies including Ansible, Git and Python.\nA collaborative approach and effective problem-solving capabilities.\nAn ability to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.\nAn ability to work effectively during high-priority incidents and operational emergencies.\nFluency in English.\nItalian language skills nice to have\nPreferred certifications:\nVCTA - VMware Certified Technical Associate\nVCP - VMware Certified Professional\nVCAP - VMware Certified Advanced Professional\nRelevant certification areas includeData Centre Virtualisation, Network Virtualisation, and Cloud Management and Automation.\nNot a perfect fit?\nConcerned you may not meet every requirement?
