You will be in charge to design and support the delivery the Telco Cloud virtualized infrastructure in Italy and cluster markets in accordance with the Vodafone Cloud Engineering strategy and goals to enable the onboarding of the core network’s tools with best in industry quality within the planned time .\nYou will be accountable and responsible for the design to deployment of infrastructure Virtualization Network for Cloud ready platform overall mainly focused on VMWare NFV & SDN solutions and Red Hat Open Shift solution considering capacity efficiency, security, resiliency and automation, aligned with the peculiarities of NFV workloads. You also will support the Infrastructure build of Network functions into on premise cloud environment.\nThe Technology focus is on IaaS, CaaS, PaaS infrastructure (vCloud, vCenter, hypervisor, computing, storage, Network - physical or virtual), remote access solutions, cloud, security, and backup solutions.\nYou also will work with the VNF/CNF On Boarding team to automated E2E integrations.\nIn accordance with Vodafone strategy and focused on Virtual/Containerized Network Functions (V/CFN) and SDN needs, as a member of Cloud Engineering team , the technology focus from solution design and delivery and best practices perspective will be (but not limited to):\n- Virtualization and Cloud native platforms overall (IaaS, CaaS, PaaS)\n- VMWare Telco Cloud Platform components, namely: vCloud Director, vSphere, vRealize products (vRealize Operations, Orchestrator, Log inside and network inside), NSX-T, Telco Cloud Automation (TCA) and VMWare Tanzu Kuberneters Grid (TKG);\n- Red Hat Open Shift Platform\n- Hardware and software lifecycle management\n- Infrastructure in general (hypervisor, computing, storage, Networking - physical or virtual);\n- Deliver Backup Solution to support Telco Cloud Platform\nKey accountabilities and decision ownership\nResponsible for the solution design and lifecycle management of designed solutions within Cluster IT, GR, AL Vodafone Markets\nCoordinating suppliers, engage with peers and other stakeholders to ensure the timely delivery of functionality and quality in projects\nDesign and Delivery NVI on time and on budget according to the project’s timeline\nSupport process development and automation of VNF /CNF delivery\nDefine, address, track and report on standard and guideline adherence\nTranslate technical requirements into business language\nKey performance indicators\nDesign and Delivers Infrastructure within Local market timescales\nMeet or exceed Capex targets\nTimeliness and Quality in the solution Design and Delivery\nCore competencies, knowledge and experience\nData centre infrastructure, cloud computing and virtualization architectures (Telco)\nCustomer oriented and systematic way of working\nStrong communication and negotiation skills\nAbility to work across multi-functional and cultural boundaries to deliver results and change\nStrong individual applied thinking\nGood analytical and problem solving skills\nMust have technical / professional qualifications\nDegree qualified\nAt least 4 years professional experience in cloud and virtualization\nExpert in data centre infrastructure, cloud computing and virtualization architectures (IT and Telco) design and delivery\nSolid understanding of virtualization (VMWare/ Openshift Cloud Platform) and containerization (Kubernetes)\nSolid understanding of routing and switching protocols (ie. BGP / ISIS / OSPF)\nExperience with kubernetes networking (CNIs, Service Mesh, Network Policies, Ingress/Egress)\nExperience with Network Load Balancers and Firewalls\nExperience in designing/implementing IPv6 solutions\nScripting expertise is preferred (Power CLI, Powershell, Python, …)\nLocation:
