This role is ideal for an individual with strong expertise in cloud operations, Kubernetes, infrastructure automation and DevOps practices who can support business-critical platforms, collaborate closely with development teams, and drive operational excellence, security, scalability and reliability across Vodafone's technology landscape.\nWhat you’ll do\nDesign, deploy, maintain and optimise end-to-end AWS cloud and on-premises infrastructure, including networking, DNS and security services.\nMaintain AWS Kubernetes environments and associated microservice resources to ensure stability, scalability and performance.\nManage and support microservice deployments across cloud platforms.\nProvide Kubernetes and infrastructure support for application troubleshooting and incident resolution.\nSupport the setup and maintenance of VoIP and telephony-related services.\nCollaborate closely with development teams to resolve incidents and maintain application integrity and service availability.\nEvaluate existing infrastructure and recommend performance, resilience and cost-optimisation improvements.\nImplement cloud infrastructure and microservice configuration changes to enable new business capabilities and application features.\nPromote infrastructure automation best practices and provide mentoring to engineering teams.\nEnsure compliance with security, risk and operational governance standards.\nDeliver agreed activities within customer-defined timelines and service expectations.\nWho you are\nExtensive experience in AWS cloud services and infrastructure automation technologies, including Terraform, API Gateway, AWS Lambda and AWS CodePipeline.\nStrong experience with Kubernetes administration, containerised applications and microservices architectures.\nProficiency in scripting languages such as Bash and Python.\nExperience with CI/CD processes and tools including Git, GitHub, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Maven and Gradle.Understanding of NoSQL database technologies such as MongoDB and Redis.\nKnowledge of monitoring, observability and log management tools including Prometheus, Grafana, Dynatrace, Datadog, Instana and Fluentd.Experience working with Jira and Confluence.\nHands-on experience operating applications within AWS, Azure and/or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure environments.\nStrong background in on-premises infrastructure, Linux administration, SSH access management and patching activities.\nFamiliarity with Agile delivery methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban.\nExcellent documentation, stakeholder management and communication skills in English.\nDegree in Information Technology or equivalent practical experience.8 to 10 years of experience within DevOps, cloud engineering or enterprise IT environments.Knowledge of ITIL frameworks, SOX requirements and security regulations.\nAt least 5 years of experience working with public cloud infrastructure.\nExperience supporting highly business-critical production environments.Experience with DevOps practices in cloud-based environments.\nExperience supporting VoIP and telephony services.\nNot a perfect fit?\nConcerned you may not meet every requirement?
