Working within a multidisciplinary team of Data Engineers, Software Developers and System Specialists, you will contribute throughout the full software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis and technical design through development, testing, integration and production deployment.\nThis opportunity is suited to candidates with at least 5 years of professional Back-End development experience, ideally within complex enterprise environments, and hands-on experience with scalable, reliable and secure digital solutions.\nWhat you’ll do\nDevelop and maintain high-quality Back-End digital solutions, services and reusable components supporting web and mobile applications.\nBuild modern Back-End solutions using Node.js, NestJS, TypeScript and JavaScript (ES6+).\nDesign, develop and maintain microservices, REST APIs, web services and system integrations.\nEnable reliable and secure data exchange between applications, services and internal or external enterprise platforms.\nImprove the performance, reliability, security, scalability and maintainability of digital products.\nParticipate in requirements analysis, technical design and solution definition for new business requirements and product enhancements.\nApply appropriate testing, code reviews, engineering standards and development best practices to maintain high code quality.\nContribute to Back-End development and system integration standards, coding guidelines and engineering best practices.\nWork within Agile delivery frameworks, contributing to planning, refinement, development and delivery activities.\nApply CI/CD and automation practices across development, integration, testing and deployment.\nTroubleshoot application and integration issues, identify root causes and implement effective solutions.\nEvaluate emerging Back-End technologies, integration approaches, frameworks and architectural patterns for their potential application within the digital ecosystem.\nShare technical knowledge and good practices with colleagues to support team development.\nDeliver high-quality software products and associated documentation.\nProduce reports associated with software testing and defect resolution.\nWho you are\nA Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience.\nAt least 5 years of professional experience in Back-End development, preferably within complex enterprise environments and large-scale digital solutions.\nProven hands-on experience with Node.js, NestJS, TypeScript and JavaScript (ES6+).\nExperience designing, developing and maintaining microservices-based applications.\nStrong understanding of REST APIs, web services, API design and system integration patterns within distributed architectures.\nExperience integrating heterogeneous applications, services and enterprise platforms.\nGood understanding of containerisation and orchestration principles in cloud-based environments.\nExperience developing and delivering Back-End services in cloud-based environments.\nUnderstanding of Cyber Security and secure software development, including authentication, authorisation, API security, secure data handling and data protection.\nExperience with Git-based version control, package management, build processes and code-quality tooling.\nHands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated builds, testing and deployment.\nExperience with unit, integration and API testing.\nExperience across the software development lifecycle, from requirements and technical design to deployment and ongoing product evolution.\nExperience working in Agile environments, preferably Scrum and/or SAFe.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with an ability to identify root causes and define effective technical solutions.\nAn ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional and multicultural teams and communicate with technical and business stakeholders.\nA commitment to software quality, security, maintainability, attention to detail and continuous improvement.\nFluent written and spoken English at C1 level.\nNot a perfect fit?\nConcerned you may not meet every requirement?
