You will collaborate with data engineers, software developers and system specialists, while taking ownership of your solutions and contributing technical expertise and best practices to the wider team.\nThis role is suited to someone with 1-5 years of Python experience, knowledge of databases and Linux, familiarity with CI/CD and Git, and an understanding of systems integration technologies such as REST and HTTP/S.\nWhat you’ll do\nDevelop Python modules, APIs, and microservices that make internal libraries accessible.\nShape and maintain the automation development environment, including Python libraries, virtual machines, and databases.\nDevelop software collaboratively using Agile ways of working.\nSupport customers during solution design to create flexible, maintainable solutions.\nParticipate in the planning and design of solutions for business use cases.\nShare coding standards, development practices and technical knowledge across the team.\nKeep up to date with relevant current and emerging technologies.\nParticipate in internal and external workshops to expand your knowledge.\nApply continuous development, integration, testing, and deployment practices.\nImplement projects using technologies suited to their technical and business objectives.\nFollow agreed coding standards and maintain clear code documentation.\nManage assigned projects proactively and take ownership of resolving issues.\nCreate and maintain technical design documentation.\nProvide accurate and regular progress reporting for assigned programmes.\nWho you are\nA degree in Computer Science or a comparable qualification.\n1-5 years of experience with Python.\nFluent in English.\nStrong programming knowledge and an interest in learning new technologies.\nProblem-solving and solution-focused thinking.\nAnalytical capability and attention to detail.\nAwareness of CI/CD tools and automated build processes.\nExperience with Git or comparable version control systems.\nKnowledge of SQL and/or NoSQL databases.\nKnowledge of Linux, scripting, command-line tools, and operating system administration.\nKnowledge of systems integration and communication technologies, including REST, HTTP/S, SNMP, SSH, and SOAP.\nThe ability to work collaboratively, share technical knowledge, and contribute to common development standards.\nNot a perfect fit?\nConcerned you may not meet every requirement?
