This role focuses on embedding security early in the development lifecycle through hands-on engineering, architecture design, and close collaboration with cross-functional teams. The individual will drive the adoption of practical security controls, influence engineering practices, and contribute to strengthening the organisation’s overall security posture while aligning with Vodafone’s global standards.\nWhat you’ll do\nIntegrate secure-by-design architecture frameworks and actionable security configurations into data and analytics platforms and engineering workflows\nConduct architecture risk assessments, lead threat modelling sessions, and guide remediation through implemented controls\nDevelop and embed threat modelling practices across applications and platforms, driving maturity within engineering teams\nDefine and maintain secure reference architectures for cloud platforms, SaaS, APIs, microservices, and data ecosystems\nEstablish and contribute to architecture review processes by developing reusable security patterns and principles\nLead enterprise-wide threat modelling programmes across distributed systems, cloud-native platforms, and supply chain environments\nDesign security architectures for multi-cloud, Kubernetes, and Zero Trust identity-first models\nEnable DevSecOps adoption by defining secure CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, automated testing, and supply chain protection\nProvide expert guidance to senior engineering stakeholders on security risks, emerging technologies, and architectural trade-offs\nBuild strong relationships with internal teams and external partners, supporting collaboration and alignment\nDocument findings, recommendations, and action plans, ensuring clear reporting and accountability\nDrive continuous improvement, innovation, and adherence to organisational values and security principles\nWho you are\nA cybersecurity professional with 12-16 years of experience, including 7+ years in security architecture\nSkilled in designing and implementing enterprise security architecture frameworks, secure design patterns, and reference architectures\nExperienced in cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP), container security, and Kubernetes platforms\nProficient in Zero Trust architecture and identity-centric security models\nStrong understanding of application security, including Secure SDLC, API security, and software supply chain protection\nCapable of performing advanced threat modelling for distributed and cloud-native environments\nExperienced in supporting large-scale digital transformation or cloud programmes\nAble to influence engineering leaders and guide architectural decision-making\nKnowledgeable in risk management, cryptographic architecture, and data protection principles\nHolds (or is working towards) relevant certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, CISM, or TOGAF\nFamiliarity with data privacy regulations such as GDPR is advantageous\nExperience in the telecom sector is beneficial\nNot a perfect fit?\nConcerned you may not meet every requirement?
