This role is ideal for an individual who combines deep Java expertise with the ability to guide teams, shape technical direction, and ensure high-quality, predictable delivery in a fast-paced, agile environment.\nWhat you’ll do\nLead software development initiatives from design through to production delivery.\nDesign scalable and maintainable software solutions aligned with best practices and business requirements.\nEnsure the technical team has a clear and shared understanding of system design and implementation approach.\nImplement business requirements in line with approved design documentation.\nProvide clear and accurate reporting on technical progress, risks, challenges, and recommendations.\nCoach and support technical team members, offering guidance throughout the project lifecycle.\nSelect appropriate technologies and tools to meet customer and system needs.\nManage multiple projects and priorities concurrently while maintaining delivery quality.\nWho you are\nStrong proficiency in object-oriented programming and SOLID principles.\nExtensive hands-on experience with Java 8 or later versions.\nSolid understanding of software design patterns and architectural principles.\nExperience with Hibernate and ORM frameworks.Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases.\nExperience with unit testing and test-driven development practices.Proficiency in Spring Boot, Git, and Maven.\nExperience with containerisation technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.Good understanding of microservices architecture.\nExperience integrating RESTful and SOAP-based APIs.\nFamiliarity with Agile delivery methodologies.\nClear and effective communication skills, with the ability to remain composed and delivery-focused under pressure.\nA degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience\nNot a perfect fit?\nConcerned you may not meet every requirement?
