About this Role

We are seeking a skilled Manual & Automation Telecom Tester with 4 to 6 years of experience in software testing, preferably within the telecommunications domain. This role focuses on end-to-end testing across Business Support Systems (BSS) and Operational Support Systems (OSS), supporting products and services including mobile, fixed line, broadband and TV. The successful candidate will bring hands-on expertise in manual testing, API testing, defect management, SQL validation and telecom platforms such as Siebel CRM, Kennan Billing, Webmethods and JIRA. Based in Pune, the role offers the opportunity to contribute to large-scale telecom testing initiatives while working within Agile and Waterfall delivery environments.

What you’ll do

• Perform end-to-end testing for telecom applications, including CRM, billing and integration platforms.
• Analyse business and technical requirements and create comprehensive test plans and test cases.
• Execute functional, regression, integration and system testing activities.
• Design, develop and execute API and web service test cases using relevant testing tools.
• Validate telecom-specific processes including call flows, billing, provisioning and network configurations.
• Manage defects, testing progress and reporting activities through JIRA and related quality tools.
• Perform backend validation and data integrity checks using SQL.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts and quality assurance stakeholders to ensure complete test coverage.
• Support testing across multiple customer channels including CRM platforms, online portals and mobile applications.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint activities, defect triages and quality review forums.
• Contribute to test strategy discussions and continuous improvement initiatives across the testing function.

Who you are

• 4 to 6 years of experience in software testing within telecom or related industries.
• Strong understanding of telecom BSS/OSS systems and platforms.
• Hands-on experience with Siebel CRM, Kennan Billing, Webmethods, JIRA and SQL.
• Experience in API testing and exposure to automation testing frameworks.
• Knowledge of mobile, fixed line, broadband and TV service testing.
• Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
• Effective communication, stakeholder engagement and documentation skills.
• Detail-oriented, proactive and able to work both independently and collaboratively.
• ISTQB Practitioner certification or equivalent certification is desirable.
• Graduate or post-graduate qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline.
