You'll combine deep technical expertise with collaboration and strategic thinking to help deliver reliable, high-performing services while supporting the organisation's transformation journey.\nYou'll take end-to-end technical ownership of Mobile Voice capabilities, ensuring solutions are stable, resilient, scalable, and aligned to business objectives.\nYou'll design, review, implement, and optimise voice network solutions, ensuring they meet agreed performance, quality, and security standards.\nYou'll provide technical leadership across IMS Core technologies, including VoLTE, VoWiFi, and multi-generation mobile network environments spanning 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G.\nYou'll contribute to the development and optimisation of key network elements across signalling, IMS, infrastructure, mediation, provisioning, and Release 4 network environments.\nYou'll support the creation, review, and governance of High-Level Designs (HLDs), Low-Level Designs (LLDs), and development artefacts, ensuring architectural consistency and technical excellence.\nYou'll work closely with security specialists to ensure solutions remain compliant with internal standards, regulatory obligations, and evolving security requirements.\nYou'll partner with Network, IT, Security, Operations, Commercial, and vendor teams to deliver integrated and effective solutions.\nYou'll act as a trusted technical advisor, providing guidance, insight, and expertise to colleagues, stakeholders, and delivery partners.\nYou'll contribute to major transformation programmes, including cloud migration, network modernisation, and platform consolidation initiatives.\nYou'll proactively manage system capacity, performance, availability, and reliability to support growing customer and business demands.\nYou'll drive continuous improvement through automation, CI/CD adoption, process optimisation, performance analytics, and modern engineering practices.\nYou'll review third-party supplier proposals and technical solutions, ensuring value for money, commercial awareness, and technical robustness.\nYou'll support governance activities, performance reviews, and quality assurance processes with partners and vendors.\nYou'll act as an escalation point for complex technical challenges, leading structured root cause analysis and supporting long-term resolution strategies.\nYou'll help shape future technology roadmaps and contribute to strategic decisions that enhance customer experience and operational excellence.\n\nWho you are\nYou’ll bring 5+ years' experience within the mobile telecommunications industry.\nYou’ll have strong expertise in IMS Core architecture and mobile voice technologies, including VoLTE, VoWiFi, and 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G network environments.\nYou’ll have experience designing, reviewing, and governing complex telecom network solutions within large-scale organisations.\nYou’ll understand signalling technologies such as SS7 STP/SGW, SS7 Firewalls, DSC, and 5G Service Communication platforms.\nYou’ll have hands-on knowledge of IMS network elements including TAS, CSCF, SBC/SBG, BGF, MRFP, AFG/Ut Proxy, and ENUM/DNS.\nYou’ll be comfortable working across cloud, virtualised, and network infrastructure environments, including technologies such as VMware, OpenStack, and Kubernetes.\nYou’ll have experience contributing to network transformation, cloud migration, modernisation, or consolidation programmes.\nYou’ll be confident reviewing and constructively challenging designs, vendor proposals, architectural decisions, and technical solutions.\nYou’ll understand the importance of regulatory compliance, security obligations, lawful interception requirements, emergency call services, and data protection standards.\nYou’ll bring strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes and develop practical, scalable solutions.\nYou’ll be able to balance technical excellence with commercial awareness, understanding the impact of CAPEX, OPEX, delivery timelines, and business priorities.\nYou’ll communicate complex technical concepts clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.\nYou’ll enjoy building trusted relationships and collaborating across diverse teams, partners, and stakeholders.\nYou’ll be proactive, adaptable, curious, and motivated to learn, improve, and help others succeed.\nYou’ll thrive in an environment where teamwork, innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement are equally valued.\nWorried that you don’t meet all the desired criteria exactly?\nWe know that everyone is unique, with multiple aspects to their identity and different experiences behind them.
