This role focuses on developing cloud-native solutions, driving infrastructure automation, enabling cloud transformation initiatives, and ensuring high availability and operational excellence across AWS environments. The successful candidate will play a key role in cloud adoption, optimisation, platform engineering, and DevOps culture enablement.\nWhat you’ll do\nDesign, build, implement and operate AWS-based cloud infrastructure services for business-critical applications. \nManage project-driven cloud solution integrations and daily platform administration activities.\nDevelop prototypes, modules and cloud platform solutions using Agile delivery practices. \nMaintain, enhance and optimise cloud services to deliver positive business outcomes.\nConduct peer reviews and promote engineering best practices and coding standards.\nDrive cloud automation and workload integration activities across AWS environments.\nSupport cloud cost optimisation initiatives and FinOps practices.\nDesign and deploy direct connectivity between AWS and on-premise data centres.\nTroubleshoot cloud networking, storage, performance and platform-related issues.\nSupport incident and problem management activities, including Level 2 and Level 3 operational support\nContribute to the adoption and growth of DevOps methodologies and cloud engineering capabilities across the organisation.\nShare knowledge and help strengthen AWS expertise within teams.\nWho you are\nExperience working with AWS cloud services including VPC, EC2, EKS, S3, EBS, Glacier, ELB and Elastic IPs.\nHands-on experience with AWS Lambda and cloud-native architectures.\nStrong knowledge of cloud networking, security and platform engineering principles. \nExperience with infrastructure automation using CloudFormation, Ansible and Python. \nWorking knowledge of DevOps tools and technologies such as Terraform, Kubernetes and ArgoCD.\nExperience managing AWS Organisations and multi-account environments. \nFamiliarity with JSON, YAML and Python scripting.\nStrong troubleshooting, analytical, documentation and communication skills.\nUnderstanding of ITIL processes, SOX compliance and security regulations.\nExperience working in Agile delivery environments.\nExperience supporting highly business-critical environments.\nDegree qualification in Information Technology or a related discipline.\nAWS certification at Associate level or higher is advantageous.\nExperience within telecommunications environments is beneficial.\nNot a perfect fit?\nConcerned you may not meet every requirement?
