We are an industry leader in heat recovery steam generators (HRSGs) with both domestic and international customers.\nPosition Summary\nThe Project Engineer is responsible for project engineering coordination for the department including, but not limited to activities related to project development, execution, review and approval of requisitions and review bought out equipment technical evaluations. This position has responsibility and accountability for ensuring engineering schedules, providing engineering man-hour forecasts and engineering budgets on assigned projects. This position is the technical manager of the project and communicates technical issues with the Project Manager and the Customer. This position will involve customer visits and other business-related activities such as support for project kick off meetings and site walk downs as necessary for projects.\nEssential Functions/Responsibilities\nProject Technical Leader\nManages the technical aspect of the assigned projects during contract execution\nProvides on-site support to vendors, and manufacturing when necessary to ensure project success\nUnderstand and interpret specification requirements to ensure that they are met during project execution.\nCustomer Liaison\nLead technical contact for the customer on assigned projects. All technical correspondence with the customer will flow through and be reviewed by the PE\nFormulate and present all RFI’s to the customer for quick resolution to allow the project team to meet schedule requirements\nAdvise customer on impacts of change requests\nScheduling, Forecasting and Budget Analysis\nMaintains a project’s engineering schedule for all assigned projects by coordinating tasks with Discipline Managers and project team personnel \nResponsible for developing and maintaining project man-hour forecasts\nReport out to upper management on schedule progress and provide recovery plans for areas where the schedule is behind.\nDocument Control\nManage the Document Control Automation Program (DCAP) for the project.\nProcess all incoming vendor and customer documents to ensure that they are reviewed by the proper team members.\nProcess all outgoing document submittals to the vendors or customers to ensure that necessary changes are communicated properly and in a timely manor\nSet up and manage the Master Document List (MDL) of customer submittals to ensure that all documents are submitted on time as required by the project specification/contract\nAdministrative\nDevelopment and coordination of project O&M manual as required.\nConducts, participates in and maintains meeting minutes for team meetings, meetings with support personnel, and meetings with the customer.\nTakes an active role when working with other PEs to make improvements in cost, quality or efficiency of the department by revising procedures, work instructions or templates\nSales/Innovation\nRepresents the Engineering Department internally and externally as directed, including traveling when needed.\nFacilitates required design improvements/innovation projects based on customer inputs\nReview sales proposals, RFQ’s, proposal schedules and technical reports.\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.\nRequirements\nB.S. in mechanical, chemical, or metallurgical Engineering or closely related field.\nDemonstrated excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.\nMinimum two (2) years of related industry experience or minimum two (2) years of experience in each of the following:\n- contract-based project execution\n- project management directly leading a technical team\n- meeting KPIs pertaining to schedules and budgets\n- experience working with external customers and change management, change orders\n- experience negotiating with suppliers including contract management, legal terms and conditions and change management\nMust be available to lead or participate in meetings that occur internationally outside of typical office hours\nDemonstrated knowledge of company standards and applications.\nKnowledge of various codes (ASME, NBIC, B31.1, etc.) desirable, including product application.\nDemonstrates a working knowledge of HRSG or boiler operations, design philosophy, principles, and details of application.\nMust have valid passport and be able to travel when required.\nMust be resourceful, organized, and able to work under pressure in order to meet deadlines, manage multiple project simultaneously and respond quickly to requests. \nTo provide greater transparency to candidates, we include base pay ranges for all US-based job postings that encompass all potential locations and levels for the open position.
