We are an industry leader in heat recovery steam generators (HRSGs) with both domestic and international customers.\nPosition Summary\nThe Project Manager directs and manages global contracts to design, fabricate and erect HRSGs of varying scope and complexity.\nEssential Functions/Responsibilities\nManages all aspects of Capital contracts and contract change orders to optimize the Company’s profit potential and minimize risk and exposure.\nActs as primary liaison with the Customer to develop and maintain a good working relationship during contract execution.\nDevelops the overall Project Quality Plan and assures compliance during execution of the project.\nIdentifies and manages all project risks.\nAccountable for the complete project budget, forecast, and monthly cash flow reports.\nGenerates the Monthly Project Status Reports to the Customer and VPI Executive Staff.\nResponsible for coordinating and overseeing the development and maintenance of the overall project schedule.\nDevelops Supplier Special Terms & Conditions as needed, and generates requisitions for engineered equipment.\nEvaluates and selects suppliers and subcontractors for major materials, engineered equipment and fabrication services in conjunction with VPI Supply Management and Global Supply Management.\nResponsible for coordinating shipping through VPI and BPI Logistics including utilizing Customer systems as well as resolving shipping issues such as Overages, shortages and Damage reports.\nPerforms and / or assists in studies for economic / technical optimization of our products within the confines of the Contract.\nCoordinates all project related field activities through completion of commissioning and all punch list activities to include interface with VPI site construction and commissioning Technical Advisors and Customer / Contractor site management, and negotiation / cost control of field related extra work orders.\nCoordinates the resolution and final disposition of NCR’s (Non Conformance Reports) and site RFI’s (Request For Information). Supports Buyers and Subcontract Managers in resolution of SDR’s (Supplier Deviation Requests).\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. MBA preferred.\nMinimum five (5) years’ experience managing complex large ($5 to $60 million) projects as a project or general manager, with total project accountability. International project management experience desired.\nMinimum five (5) years of related industry experience or equivalent experience in each of the following:\n- with contract-based project execution\n- project management directly leading a technical team\n- meeting KPIs pertaining to schedules and budgets\n- experience working with external customers and change management, change orders\n- experience negotiating with suppliers including contract management, legal terms and conditions and change management\nExcellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Multi-lingual skills very desirable.\nMust exhibit strong leadership skills and the ability to work in a matrix team environment.\nMust be available to lead or participate in meetings that occur internationally outside of typical office hours\nMust exhibit an understanding of heat transfer, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics and general engineering principles as they apply to the equipment manufactured or supplied by Vogt Power.\nMust exhibit a knowledge and understanding of contracts (legal and financial aspects), cost control and scheduling.\nMust be organized; thorough; able to process, absorb and transfer information expediently; and be able to work under pressure in order to meet deadlines.\nRequires competency in MSEXCEL, WORD and other relevant software.\nMust have a valid passport and be willing to travel both domestically and international.\nTo provide greater transparency to candidates, we include base pay ranges for all US-based job postings that encompass all potential locations and levels for the open position.
