The Structural Engineer's role is responsible for collaborating with other disciplines in order to create custom structural designs for new large capital projects as well as field retrofits. The Structural Engineer is also responsible for design developments and improvements to improve the overall effectiveness of the product.\nPerform engineering analyses using a combination of hand calculations, spreadsheet programs, and advanced analysis tools.\nProvide leadership by learning, developing, and coordinating new techniques, standardizing procedures, and providing technical instruction and mentoring to department staff.\nProvide organized and well written reports to describe assumptions, steps taken, and results from work performed.\nWork directly with the Design group to create accurate and efficient structural drawing packages \nMonitor the work of our fabricators by performing technical reviews.\nIdentify/develop and use tools and techniques that improve the accuracy and/or efficiency of Department and project work.\nDevelop designs that increase the ease of fabrication, transportation and construction of our product. \nProvide recommendations and promote development of new products, keeping abreast of industry advancements and needs\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.\nRequirements\nBachelor’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering\nMust be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and respond quickly to problems.\nComfortable using structural analysis software such as Autodesk’s Robot Structural Analysis or Bentley’s STAAD.pro\nFamiliarity using Autodesk applications such as AutoCAD and Navisworks\nProficient in Microsoft Excel\nGood communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment\nMust be able to travel when required.\nPreferred, but not required:\n- Licensed Professional Engineer\n- Master of Engineering with emphasis in structures\n- Proficient with Autodesk Revit\nTo provide greater transparency to candidates, we include base pay ranges for all US-based job postings that encompass all potential locations and levels for the open position.
