You will typically own two parallel hardware procurement projects, steering them from early requirements and supplier selection through development, industrialisation, launch and post-launch improvements. For IoT projects it is important to have a breadth of competence being able to lead the projects across all workstreams from mechanical hardware to the electronics to the FW. Reporting to the Head of Vehicle HW, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our fleet is safe, reliable, repairable and efficient for our riders and markets.\nYou will:\nLead end-to-end project management for typically two hardware procurement and development projects in parallel.\n\nCoordinate Voi teams and suppliers on timelines, milestones, risks, status and next steps to secure on-time, high-quality deliveries.\n\nTranslate Voi’s needs into clear goals and technical requirements, and drive evaluation of samples across UX, repairability, reliability, energy efficiency and more.\n\nSupport Voi engineers and suppliers on technical topics, contributing to documents such as DFMEA, PFMEA, FEA, Design for Reliability and Design for Repairability reports.\n\nManage structured handling of actions, decisions, accountability and documentation to ensure smooth project progress.\n\nPresent clear, concise project and technical status updates to the executive team, incorporating input from senior leadership (including CEO and CFO) into project plans.\n\nBuild strong relationships and lead tough but constructive discussions and negotiations with suppliers on timelines, quality and technical issues.\n\nTravel regularly (e.g. quarterly, for a few weeks at a time) to China and occasionally to other supplier locations and Voi markets to work hands-on with partners and in-field issues.\n\nWHAT YOU NEED TO EMBARK\nYou are a technically strong, hands-on project manager who thrives at the intersection of engineering, suppliers, AI tools and business. You enjoy owning complex hardware projects end to end, can zoom between details and the big picture, and communicate confidently with both engineers and executives.\nYou have:\nA bachelor’s degree or higher in an engineering discipline (or equivalent practical experience).\n\nStrong experience working closely with hardware suppliers, ideally including Chinese partners.\n\nProven experience collaborating with multi-disciplinary hardware and FW teams (mechanical, electrical, FW, test & verification, certification) as well as procurement, firmware, QA and supply chain.\n\nExperience leading products especially electronics product through the full lifecycle - from goal setting and requirements through launch and resolving in-field issues.\n\nExcellent presentation and communication skills, able to explain technical topics and business trade-offs to senior stakeholders.\n\nStrong mechanical engineering understanding, including working with DFMEA, PFMEA, FEA, reliability test reports and hands-on repairability assessments; CAD/CAE skills are a plus.\n\nSolid electrical engineering understanding to engage in DFMEA/PFMEA and review reliability test reports.\n\nSolid electronics and FW understanding to enable leading engineerings in these disciplines\n\nExcellent analytical and technical problem-solving skills; being data-driven and comfortable with SQL is a plus.\n\nAI-native working style and confidence using modern AI tools in your daily work to increase speed, structure and quality.\n\nFluency in English, both written and spoken; proficiency in Chinese is a strong plus.\n\nThe ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and to work effectively in a fast-paced, scale-up environment, collaborating across teams and time zones and travelling when needed.\n\nDon’t meet every requirement?
