We specialize in delivering innovative, customer-focused solutions through both piloted and remotely piloted aircraft systems (RPAS) across industries including defense, infrastructure, energy, public safety, and logistics.\nPOSITION OVERVIEW\nWe are seeking a SITL/Simulation Engineer to develop and maintain software-in-the-loop and simulation environments supporting the design, verification, and testing of a new aerospace platform.\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES\nDevelop and maintain software-in-the-loop (SITL) and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) simulation environments\nSupport verification of flight control, avionics, and autonomy software using simulation platforms\nBuild simulation models representing platform dynamics, sensors, and subsystem behavior\nSupport test planning by identifying scenarios best validated through simulation prior to flight test\nAnalyze simulation results and correlate with flight or ground test data\nMaintain simulation infrastructure, tools, and documentation\nCollaborate with software, systems, and flight controls teams to prioritize simulation needs\nPerform other duties and responsibilities as may be reasonably assigned by the Company from time to time. \nREQUIRED EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS\nBachelor's degree in Aerospace, Software, Electrical Engineering, or related field\n3+ years of experience in simulation engineering, SITL/HIL environments, or flight dynamics modeling\nProficiency in simulation tools and scripting/programming languages relevant to simulation development\nUnderstanding of flight dynamics, control systems, or avionics behavior\nStrong analytical and software development skills\nMust be a Canadian citizen and eligible for security clearance\nExperience with uncrewed aerial systems (UAS) simulation and testing\nFamiliarity with MATLAB/Simulink or equivalent simulation platforms\nExperience supporting flight test readiness through simulation-based verification\nCanadian Security Clearance is required\nHOURS OF WORK AND WORK ENVIRONMENT\nThe position is an onsite role, and the Employee is required to perform their duties primarily at the Company’s designated workplace, as directed by the Company.\nThe standard work schedule consists of forty (40) hours per week, typically performed Monday to Friday, subject to operational requirements.\nFrom time to time, the Employee may be required to maintain reasonable flexibility in working hours to support operational needs, time-sensitive activities, or business priorities.\nWHY JOIN VOLATUS AEROSPACE\nAt Volatus Aerospace, you will be joining an innovative, fast-paced company with a strong commitment to customer success and industry advancement.
