Founded in 2015, we have since grown to 95+ full-time remote team members across the globe.\nRole Overview\nBrookhaven is the most-visited game in Roblox history, with over 72 billion visits and millions of players exploring its world every day.We're looking for a Senior UX/UI Designer to help shape how players discover, navigate, and interact with everything Brookhaven has to offer.\nAs our first dedicated UX/UI designer, you'll play a key role in elevating the player experience-from simplifying complex menus and improving player flows to creating intuitive, mobile-first interfaces. You'll work closely with our product, game design, art, and engineering teams to turn complex systems into seamless, engaging experiences while helping establish the UX/UI foundations for Brookhaven's future.\nThis opportunity will begin as a 6-month contract, with the potential to extend or transition into a full-time role.\nIf you're passionate about creating intuitive, player-first experiences, love solving complex design challenges, and want to see your work make an impact on millions of players, we'd love to hear from you!\nWhat You’ll Do\nOwn Brookhaven's UI and UX end to end, from a player's first session to their hundredth\n\nAudit the current UI and map the core player journeys, documenting where players get lost, drop off, or need help\n\nCombine player data, community feedback, competitive research, and playtesting to identify the UX problems worth solving, and prioritize them with the Product Lead\n\nDefine Brookhaven's information hierarchy and player flows, deciding what matters most to players and where it lives\n\nProduce wireframes, annotated flows, and prototypes that art and engineering can build from with confidence\n\nDesign high-fidelity screens and reusable UI components with clear rules for layout, hierarchy, and states, partnering with art on final visual style\n\nPartner with engineering through implementation so what ships matches the design intent\n\nMeasure the impact of UX changes after launch with analytics, and iterate based on the results\n\nEstablish UI and UX standards and documentation so new features ship consistent by default\n\nWho You Are\n3+ years of experience as a UI/UX or product designer, owning both UX and UI on shipped work in games or consumer mobile apps\n\nA portfolio that shows both process (research, player flows, information architecture, wireframes) and polished, high-fidelity UI\n\nShipped mobile-first work, with a strong grasp of tap targets, thumb reach, small screens, and touch interaction\n\nStrong information architecture skills, with experience organizing complex products into clear, navigable structures\n\nStrong visual design skills (layout, hierarchy, typography, iconography) and a clear point of view on UI components\n\nExperience using player data, research, and community feedback to inform design decisions\n\nExcellent communication and collaboration skills across product, game design, art, and engineering\n\nAbility to work collaborative hours aligned to EST and PST time zones, with a preference for PST\n\nNice to Have\nExperience in games, particularly live service or mobile free-to-play\n\nExperience redesigning or untangling an existing, inherited UI on a live product without stopping the team from shipping\n\nExperience building or maintaining a design system or component library\n\nExperience designing for young audiences\n\nHands-on user research experience, such as playtests, usability testing, or surveys\n\nPrototyping beyond Figma (e.g. ProtoPie or in-engine)\n\nBonus Points for\nExperience designing UI for Roblox experiences, or familiarity with Roblox-native UI conventions\n\nHands-on experience with Roblox Studio\n\nPassion for roleplay and social games\n\nTech Stack\nPlease see below Voldex’s stack in case you are interested:\nFigma\n\nRoblox Studio\n\nLuau\n\nSnowflake/dbt/Tableau\n\nWe offer licences for Claude Code, Codex, and ChatGPT\n\nVoldex is an equal opportunity employer.
