# Buyer

The Buyer is responsible for the procurement of components, parts, supplies, equipment, and services as required by production and part sales. The Buyer coordinates his or her efforts with warehouse and internal parts making in order to maintain the appropriate level of inventory. This individual utilizes product knowledge to purchase goods and services at the most favorable combination of price, delivery and quality, while simultaneously building and maintaining relationships with key suppliers. Other tasks include resolving issues pertaining to material defects, invoice discrepancies and delivery timelines. Roles & Responsibilities Meet the demand for procurement by issuing POs for goods, materials, and services for inventory, production, and part sales in a timely and cost-effective manner. Prepare and administer requests for quotes, requests for proposal, requests for information, travelers, and work closely with suppliers both internal & external. Identify and approve new suppliers and maintain the approved supplier database. Manage inbound freight of purchases. Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers. Contact suppliers regarding errors in partial or duplicate shipments,
