# Engineering Manager

The Engineering Manager leads all product engineering staff and plans, monitors, and controls all product engineering activities, including those activities related to the development of new and the optimization and support of existing products. The goal of this position is to develop and deliver new, quality products to the market with speed and to optimize the cost-effectiveness, quality, and market relevance of existing products. Roles & Responsibilities Identifies and ensures the adoption, documentation and consistent employment of industry-leading engineering practices for new product development, product optimization and product life-cycle support. Compiles and maintains documentation of engineering standards and best practices. Develops and monitors metrics to identify the performance of the group and its processes, and employs corrective actions as required. Assesses risk and implements appropriate risk mitigation and verification strategies for all product development activities.
