With their experience, knowledge and technical skills, the O&M Expert Technician will work alongside technicians to respond to the service needs as assigned by the Area Coordinator.\nAs an expert in their field, you will work supportively with the team and the customer to address technical challenges and complete maintenance activities as per service level requirements, communicating with the Area Coordinator to support service delivery, team operations and planning.\nThe O&M Expert Technician will be required to:\nAssist the O&M Area Coordinator in their coordination of the team, tools and equipment; ensuring resources are more than sufficient for meeting the requirements of the work, regarding implementation and contract management for the O&M of PV plants;\nAddress customer inquiries and provide technical support;\nConduct site visits to assess and resolve customer issues;\nSupervise the implementation of the maintenance plans and provide support for the teams; ensuring safe working practices are followed and adhered to at all times;\nPromote and supervise the implementation of the procedures and guidelines provided by the Company within the technician team(s);\nSupport the communication, implementation and adherence to Electrical\nSafety Rules, good practices, legal, HSE requirements within the technician team;\nPerform regular on-site technical inspections of the technical team, reviewing skills and competency and making training recommendations as per guidance\nSupport the coordination of the technical team; providing follow-up reports and feedback on the services provided by the O&M field team and subcontractors.\nImplement quality control measures to maintain high standards.\nSupport the coordination between on-site teams and Remote Services (RO&ME);\nParticipate with O&M Technicians in the hands-on tasks, preventative maintenance and/or corrective activities for troubleshooting and diagnosing failures (as required)\nTo participate in an on-call Rota as and when required; ensuring compliance with policies, procedures and legal requirements at all times.\nQUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCES\nDegree/ HND or equivalent in electrical engineering or related technical discipline is essential;\nJIB/ECS Gold Card certifications is mandatory;\n5 years demonstrated electrical engineering experience in the solar industry;\nFormal electrical qualifications - 18th Edition Wiring Regulations and City & Guilds Inspection and Testing;\nExperience of maintenance management processes and systems;\nHigh Voltage Systems Knowledge: Experience with high voltage systems and maintenance, ideally with HVAP1 training or higher;\nKnowledge of Utility Scale Technical Design (PV systems);\nProficient user of Microsoft Office and IT systems;\nAvailability to travel within the designated area of the UK for limited periods and at short notice;\nFull UK Driving Licence, necessary for travelling to sites in and around the designated UK area;\nCandidates must provide proof of their legal right to work in the UK.\nKEY SKILLS\nCustomer orientated/ Customer service skills / Quality of service;\nProactive and positive attitude;\nAbility to take responsibility;\nCommitment to accuracy and attention to detail;\nOpen to change; and positive solution focused mentality;\nTeamwork spirit;\nCoordination and excellent supervisory skills.\nIf this opportunity excites you, we'd love to hear from you!
