You will design, implement, and verify hardware-centric real-time software for our proprietary ECUs (Electronic Control Units). The scope of your responsibilities and technical ownership will reflect your experience and strengths, with opportunities to grow and take on greater responsibility over time.\nYour Main Responsibilities\nDesign and development of embedded real-time software using Modern C++20, targeting RTOS and bare-metal environments.\nContributing to software architecture and technical solutions, balancing performance, maintainability, and real-time constraints.\nDeveloping software in accordance with Functional Safety requirements, including standards such as ISO 13849 (PLd) and IEC 61508.\nDeveloping and maintaining a modern, deterministic build environment based on CMake.\nEnsuring software quality through static analysis, unit testing, and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing, including high test coverage requirements such as MC/DC.\n\nWho Are You?\nWe are looking for an engineer who is passionate about embedded systems and enjoys solving complex technical challenges at the intersection of software and hardware.\nWe particularly value engineers who bring deep technical expertise, sound engineering judgment, and the ability to influence technical solutions. What matters most is your technical curiosity, problem-solving ability, and commitment to building high-quality software.\nWhat You Bring\nA solid foundation in C++ programming, gained through professional experience, education, or substantial technical projects.\nUnderstanding of software engineering principles and an interest in embedded systems, real-time constraints, and microcontrollers.\nExperience using Python for scripting, automation, testing, or software development.\nThe ability to analyze technical problems, take initiative, and collaborate effectively with others.\nFluency in English, both written and spoken. Swedish is a plus.\nExperience We Particularly Value\nEmbedded real-time software development using RTOS or bare-metal architectures, including memory management and deterministic execution.\nModern C++ design, including C++20 and modern design principles.\nCommunication networks and diagnostic protocols such as CAN / CAN FD, J1939, and UDS (ISO 14229).\nFunctional Safety development according to standards such as ISO 13849, ISO 26262, or IEC 61508.\nDevelopment tooling involving CMake, XML-based configurations, code generation, and Python-based automation.\nSoftware verification using static analysis, unit testing, HIL, and structural code coverage.\nExperience making architectural decisions, driving technical improvements, or guiding other developers.\nYou don't need to have experience in all these areas.
