Every second, one order line is shipped across the globe to serve Volvo Group’s products.\nWhat’s in it for you?\nThe Graduate Apprentice - Material Controller role within TTI SO&T DC Bangalore is designed for fresh graduates/newcomers who are keen to build a strong foundation in end-to-end logistics and supply chain operations within the Service Market Supply Chain.\nThis role focuses on learning and supporting Planning, Procurement, and Scheduling of Aftermarket Parts for both Group and Non-Group suppliers. The apprentice will gain hands-on exposure to Materials Management, Supplier Coordination, inventory control, and cross-functional collaboration, while contributing to timely parts availability and service excellence.\nKey Responsibilities\nActively contribute to digital transformation initiatives, including:Automation of manual material controller processes\nStandardization of reports and dashboards\nUse of Power Apps / low-code tools where applicable\n\nSupport the Material Control team in day-to-day activities related to procurement, receipt, storage, and distribution of materials.\nAssist in material planning and replenishment activities to ensure parts availability in line with demand.\nCoordinate with suppliers to follow up on order status, lead times, and delivery schedules under guidance.\nParticipate in maintaining accurate material and inventory records in systems and trackers.\nSupport material tracking, reporting, and data analysis using digital tools.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams such as Procurement, Logistics, and Warehouse operations to understand end-to-end material flow.\nLearn and follow standard operating procedures, compliance requirements, and safety guidelines.\nActively participate in continuous improvement initiatives and learn Lean / VPS basics.\nDemonstrate a strong learning attitude and gradually take ownership of assigned tasks.\nQualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain, Operations, or a related discipline.\nBasic understanding or academic exposure to supply chain or logistics concepts is desirable.\nSkills & Competencies Required\nAnalytical mindset with attention to detail.\nknowledge of Microsoft Excel, Python, SQL, Power BI etc...\nGood written and verbal communication skills.\nWillingness to learn, adapt, and work in a dynamic environment.\nPositive attitude, teamwork, and openness to feedback.\nBasic problem-solving skills with guidance\nWe value your data privacy and therefore do not accept applications via mail.\nWho we are and what we believe in\nWe are committed to shaping the future landscape of efficient, safe, and sustainable transport solutions.
