The internship allows students to integrate knowledge and skills in a manner that is mutually beneficial to the student and Volvo Group.\nResponsibilities\nSupporting plant objectives in creation of videos, articles and materials - with validation of information through interaction with employees and Communications Team. \nBuild on campaigns with creative writing, videography and photography to support journey to engage and create sense of Volvo Family \nCollaborate with Communications team, business teams and plant personal to accent/inspire positive Volvo cultural for better business results. \nCreate and optimize engaging content by assisting, developing and creating media content \nUtilize MicroSoft bundles: Indesign, production software, basic knowledge of systems including PCs, photography, video and plasmas, printing and production of signs and banners. \nSkills and Responsibilities\nExcellent communication skills, including writing, proofreading skills, and speaking. \nAbility to utilize photography, videography and to produce video for inhouse and social media. \nAbility to tailor communication style based on the platform and audience \nAbility to manage multiple projects and work assignments \nExcellent interpersonal skills with high professionalism \nAbility to accomplish projects with little supervision \nProficient using the latest versions of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint \nWorking knowledge of professional Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and YouTube accounts, including advertising opportunities \nBasic knowledge of Photoshop and/or Canva preferred, but not required \nRequirements and Competencies\nMinimum Education Requirements:\nApplicants must be pursuing a business, marketing, or communication degree at an accredited school and have completed 30 semester hours prior to the start of the internship program. \nMinimum GPA of 2.75. \nSpring interns may work up to 30 hours per week\nPersonal Competencies:\nWillingness to work with a cross representation of plant society \nWilling to participate in a team environment \nDesire to use personal skills with writing, photography, videography and creativity \nPeer Relationships \nIntegrity and Trust \nStanding Alone \nAction Oriented \nAt the Volvo Group, we strive for a clear, transparent, and straightforward compensation approach, motivating you to contribute to the company’s growth. For all intern and co-op positions, the hourly range is set at $17.00 - $46.00. The hourly rate for these roles is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, academic classification, and degree seeking area of study.
