Your focus is to help us build safe, high-quality products in a cost-effective way while driving a culture of continuous improvement and built-in quality. We will teach you the technical details and systems you need; what we need from you is ownership, energy, and a willingness to learn.\nCore Responsibilities\nSupport and improve BIW manufacturingprocesses, techniques, equipment, gauging, IT systems, and tooling to reduce defects and improve quality.\nSpend time on the shop floor to confirm that tooling and fixtures perform to expected quality and safety standards; follow up quickly on any issues.\nLearn and apply new technologies and systems to improve our assembly line performance.\nDevelop practical, cost-effective engineering solutions that can adapt to product and volume changes.\nParticipate in and support project planning, including:Pre-studies and feasibility checks.\nVolume and capacity assessments.\nFollow-up on actions, timing, and results with stakeholders.\n\nUse benchmarking and best practices from inside and outside the organization to improve our processes.\nListen to and understand the needs of internal and external customers, especially production and quality.\nClearly communicate ideas, problems, and solutions in both written and verbal form.\nWork collaboratively to solve problems, support root cause analysis, and help prevent and de-escalate conflicts.\nTake initiative to identify risks and potential issues early, and act quickly to minimize their impact.\nContribute actively to our continuous improvement culture, with a focus on:Waste elimination.\nBuilt-in quality and error-proofing.\nA safe, clean, and organized working environment.\n\nWho are you?\nYou are hands-on and enjoy being on the shop floor, close to the product and the people building it.\nYou are self-driven, take ownership of your tasks, and follow through without needing constant direction.\nYou have a strong sense of urgency and respond quickly when problems arise.\nYou are a team player who builds collaborative relationships with colleagues across functions and levels.\nYou can make decisions with limited information, influence others when changes are needed, and stay calm under pressure.\nYou communicate clearly and respectfully, making it easy for others to work with you and trust you.\nQualifications\nBS degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent.\n3+ years of experience in manufacturingengineering or a similar field (automotive or BIW experience is a plus, but not required).\nDemonstrated problem-solving skills, including risk identification and mitigation, both individually and in teams.\nStrong time management and prioritization skills.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills\n\nWhat’s in it for you?\nWe offer a solid package of compensation and benefits.\nReady for the next move?\nAre you excited to bring your skills and disruptive ideas to the table? For this position, the base pay is set at $85,000 - $100,000 annually, and where applicable, bonus eligible. The range for this role, as well as final salary offered, is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, work-related knowledge, certifications, skills, education, and experience.
