The position is accountable to achieve all cost, quality and schedule delivery objectives. The Program Manager is the primary point of contact for the end Customer throughout the duration of the program. The position must provide overall leadership to a global matrix program organization comprised of both internal and external support representing all functional areas of the organization (engineering, purchasing, quality, manufacturing, aftermarket, sales, logistics, etc.). The Program Manager is responsible to represent the program at all governance forums needed to secure all decisions affecting the program progress.\nCore responsibilities:\nServes as the primary point of contact for the program for both external customers and internal Company support areas.\nResponsible to achieve Program cost (Program and Product), quality (Program assurance and Product) and schedule delivery objectives.\nCoordinate and manage all program activities through a matrix program organization supported by all Company business areas, external partners and suppliers.\nRepresents the program at all required governance forums.\nAssures quality of program products, services, and deliverables, including participating in reviews, audits, and site visits.\nDevelops, reviews, and approves plans, schedules, consulting agreements and other program documents.\nPrepares and provides various reports and technical reviews to senior management as requested.\nEnsures compliance with relevant corporate and government policies and standards.\nResponsible for compliance with all security requirements and Import/Export, EAR and ITAR regulations under the program.\nWho are you?\nCritical Competencies:\nTeamwork: Building cooperation among individuals and departments, sharing information and resources, and working to achieve group goals and outcomes.\nCreativity/Innovation: Reframing traditional patterns of thinking and applying new and evolving ideas, methods, designs and technologies.\nCommunication: Excellence in listening effectively, transmitting information accurately and understandably, and actively seeking feedback non-defensively.\nCustomer Focus: Understanding and meeting the needs and requirements of customers and addressing the interests and concerns of all organization stakeholders.\nFlexibility performing a wide range of tasks, responding to changes in direction and priorities, and accepting new challenges, responsibilities, and assignments.\nExternal Relationships / Networking: Establishing a presence for the organization with outside interest groups, cultivating relationships with customers and other stakeholders, and gaining support for organization goals.\nAbility to understand multiple manufacturing organizations, processes, and products.\nEducation and Experience:\nBachelor's degree or higher in Engineering is preferred. Master of Business Administration (MBA) preferred.\n10+ years of Program or Project Management experience working on projects and programs of increasing complexity and cost.\n5+ years as a Program Manager in the defense industry acquisition process pertaining to wheeled vehicle programs preferred.\nProject Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Project Manager (CPM) is desired.\nDefense industry Program Management experience with certification defined by the Defense Acquisition University (DAU) standard is preferred.\nExperience in competitive analysis, customer analysis, win strategy development, conducting phase reviews and price-to win analysis.\nDemonstrated written and oral communication skills at the senior management level.\nDemonstrated ability to work with large global teams within a matrix organizational structure and the ability to effectively provide guidance, direction, and supervision in areas of program management, systems engineering, major system acquisitions, and financial management.\nDemonstrated ability to make decisions necessary to move the Program forward.\nAt the Volvo Group, we strive for a clear, transparent, and straightforward compensation approach, motivating you to contribute to the company’s growth. For this position, the base pay is set at $143,600.00 - $177,300.00 annually, and where applicable, bonus eligible. The range for this role, as well as final salary offered, is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, work-related knowledge, certifications, skills, education, and experience.
