This role focuses on strengthening vocational market growth and support for corporate sales teams, dealers, bodybuilders, and customers through strong execution, collaboration, and market responsiveness in construction, heavy haul, utility, and other specialized applications.\nKey responsibilities / Accountabilities\nSupport corporate sales teams with vocational expertise, customer insights, and developing growth opportunities.\nPartner with regional and dealer sales representatives to strengthen vocational sales execution.\nImprove dealer and body builder product understanding to enhance customer sales support.\nBuild and maintain strong relationships with key bodybuilders and upfitters across North America.\nDevelop and maintain joint business plans and programs with regional & dealers representatives and bodybuilders to strengthen Volvo’s vocational offering.\nSupport bodybuilder collaboration forums or councils, as needed.\nCoordinate technical collaboration between Volvo Trucks body builder support groups, engineering teams, and bodybuilders to optimize chassis-body integration.\nAct as the voice of the bodybuilder community within Volvo, advocating product features, support tools, and integration capabilities.\nCollaborate with Product Management, Sales Engineering, Customer Engineering Sales, and Marketing to tailor offerings to vocational customer needs.\nSupport Volvo Trucks vocational product awareness through dealer and industry events.\nSupport the launch of new vocational products and configurations by ensuring dealer and bodybuilder readiness.\nProvide reports and quarterly sales briefs, project updates, and support for upcoming regional, dealer, body builder, and customer events.\nPerform all other duties assigned.\nWho are you?\nDo you dream big? In this role, you will bring the following:\nKey skills\nIn-depth experience and knowledge of vocational product configurations and applications.\nStrong understanding of regional, dealer, bodybuilder and customer dynamics.\nStrong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.\nProblem solving and analysis.\nOrganization and leadership.\nProficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.\nPreferred knowledge, experience, and education\nMinimum 5 years of practical working experience in the trucking industry, with a focus on vocational B2B sales and technical knowledge preferred\nMinimum bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, marketing, or product management.\nExtensive industry experience and knowledge may be considered in lieu of degree requirements in exceptional circumstances.\nCommercial truck sales, technical, and product experience.\nExperience with dealer distribution networks and sales processes.\nGood business and financial acumen.\nAdditional important preferred skills\nAbility to work at Volvo Trucks corporate office Greensboro, NC preferred or Eastern US location.\nGeographical context in which knowledge is applied: North America.\nAble to perform duties effectively in a fast-paced environment whether working autonomously or under direction.\nUp to 70% travel.\nClass A commercial drivers license or able to obtain.\nExternal forums:Trade shows and exposure to related associations.\nSegment or industry related association involvement a plus.\n\nPhysical Requirements\nAbility to meet physical demands while performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required, with or without accommodation to:\nStand, walk, or sit, sometimes for prolonged periods.\nSee, speak, and hear, including distinguishing visual and audible signals necessary for safe and effective communication.\nUse hands and fingers to operate computers, tablets, mobile devices and tooling.\nReach with hands and arms to access products, tools, and controls.\nLift, move, or carry up to twenty pounds unassisted.\nAbility to crouch, kneel, squat, stoop and climb stairs as needed.\nEnter and Exit commercial vehicles as needed.\nConduct vehicle inspections, walk-arounds and product testing.\nHave stamina for long days, including extended hours, sometimes weekends and travel including overnight stays.\nAbility to drive long distances to visit customers.\nWork with loud noise levels.\nWork in various settings such as manufacturing and construction sites.\nFrequent travel including overnight stays.\nAt the Volvo Group, we strive for a clear, transparent, and straightforward compensation approach, motivating you to contribute to the company’s growth. For this position, the base pay is set at $128,300.00 - $158,400.00 annually, and where applicable, bonus eligible. The range for this role, as well as final salary offered, is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, work-related knowledge, certifications, skills, education, and experience.
