Our mission is to provide the best manufacturing of products that accelerate the world to sustainable energy.\nWith a vision to produce 250,000 cars per year, VCK offers a unique opportunity to be part of something new and impactful, where your work directly contributes to setting new global standards in automotive manufacturing and has real influence on launch as well as steady state operations of digital solutions.\nPlace of work: Valaliky Industrial Park, Košice District\nReports to: DevOps Team Manager\nCooperation sectors: central product organizations, application / infrastruture and factory support, manufacturing engineering, plant operations.\nWhat you'll do\nYou will utilize strong engineering mindset and previous experience to participate in digital launch success and long-term application stability at the site level.\nIn doing so, you will:\nAnalyse user requirements and interpret them into digital functions, follow Volvo standards when creating and updating technical specifications;\nBe responsible for software testing (UAT), rollout plan, deployment and verification, software handover, and information to the factory support team;\nDrive software problem tickets to resolution and ensure respective problem tasks are being executed;\nEnsure readiness for cutover, go live, hypercare, and stabilization;\nEnsure: High availability and performance, Operational stability and predictability, Compliance with security, data protection, and internal controls;\nEnsure monitoring, alerting, backup, and recovery practices are effective;\nSteer application lifecycle, upgrades, and technical debt together with central product teams;\nDrive continuous improvement of stability, quality, and ways of working.\nWhat you'll bring\nSeveral years of previous experience in software engineering as a DevOps or Site Reliability Engineer, preferably in a manufacturing / factory environment;\nExceptional understanding and practical knowledge of all the aspects of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) using agile development practices, incl. development, testing, rollout, deployment (continuous integration and deployment pipelines) and further support;\nStrong proficiency in cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization, version control, IaC, and other tools like Git, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Terraform, and Ansible;\nExperience implementing and maintaining automated CI/CD pipelines for reliable code deployment, as well as monitoring solutions to ensure system performance and uptime;\nKnowledge of Scripting/Programming languages like Python, Ruby, Go, or Bash for automation;\nKnowledge and working experience with relational databases;\nKnowledge and preferable experience with application operation & monitoring (how to consult logfiles, database statistics, understand middleware, and how to look at logs & configurations);\nUnderstanding of the web technology stack (e.g. HTML, HTTP) , modern web frameworks such as React or Angular, knowledge of back-end development (Java, Node.js), including data models, persistence layers, back-end services, caching strategies, and messaging is a plus;\nPreferred university education in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, and a certification in cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, GCP;\nEnglish language proficiency;\nFlexibility, being able to work under an organization in a transformation period, or green-field environment;\nDemonstrated ability to work within a multinational team;\nProblem-solving and a continuous improvement mindset.\nCompensation Data\nMonthly gross salary for this position starts from 2.500 EUR.\n* The salary amount represents the minimum guaranteed amount of the basic salary component applicable to the job.
