Our senior engineers play a key role in driving technical quality and platform evolution, working on a modern cloud-native stack across both greenfield and existing systems.\nWhat You Will Do\nDesign and develop highly concurrent, distributed backend services with a focus on high availability;\nTake solid ownership of architectural contributions, driving technical decisions within and across teams;\nLead performance optimisation efforts and proactively diagnose complex system issues;\nDesign, develop and test new features, setting a high bar for quality and reliability;\nSupport the release and documentation of developed features;\nDefine and champion coding standards and development processes;\nMentor and support more junior engineers within the team;\nProvide out-of-hours support as part of an on-call rota.\nWhat You Will Bring\nEssential:\nStrong programming skills in Go (Golang) or deep experience with JVM technologies (Java/Spring Boot) and a strong desire to move to Go;\nProven experience developing and maintaining enterprise-grade systems at scale;\nSolid experience with highly concurrent, distributed architectures and systems;\nSolid experience contributing to and driving architectural decisions;\nExperience with containerised applications and cloud-native environments;\nExperience profiling and optimising performance at scale;\nExperience building REST/HTTP based services;\nStrong experience with relational and non-relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL, Redis);\nStrong test suite design skills, including Unit, Integration and Smoke tests, enabling safe promotion of code to production without manual intervention;\nExcellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical problems and solutions clearly.\nNice to Have:\nHands-on experience with AWS (SQS, SNS, DynamoDB), Kafka, Kubernetes or Terraform;\nUnderstanding of Continuous Delivery in cloud environments;\nGeneral understanding of the telecommunications industry.\nHow you’ll benefit:\nMedical Insurance (Allianz)\nLife Insurance (Uniqa)\nGlasses Reimbursement\nKafeteria (My Benefit)\nDiscretionary Time Off (DTO)\nVolunteer Time (VTO)\nEricsson Care Line\nThere’s no perfect candidate.
