Our backend engineers face exciting challenges associated with high-performance, distributed systems and processing large volumes of data in real time. We work on an exciting mix of both greenfield and existing projects, giving engineers the opportunity to explore new technologies.\nWhat You Will Do\nDevelop and maintain highly concurrent and distributed backend services;\nContribute to architectural discussions and help shape technical decisions within the team;\nDesign, develop and test new features with a strong focus on quality and reliability;\nProfile and optimise system performance, diagnosing and resolving issues proactively;\nSupport the release and documentation of developed features;\nEstimate effort required to develop and implement solutions;\nContribute to coding standards and development processes;\nProvide out-of-hours support as part of an on-call rota.\nWhat You Will Bring\nEssential:\nSolid programming skills in Go (Golang) or strong experience with JVM technologies (Java/Spring Boot) and a genuine desire to learn Go;\nExperience developing and maintaining enterprise-grade systems at scale;\nExperience with highly concurrent, distributed architectures and systems;\nExperience with containerised applications;\nExperience building REST/HTTP based services;\nExperience with relational and non-relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL, Redis);\nSome experience contributing to architectural decisions within a team;\nStrong test suite design skills, including Unit, Integration and Smoke tests;\nClear and effective communication of problems and solutions across team members.\nNice to Have:\nFamiliarity with AWS services (SQS, SNS, DynamoDB);\nExposure to Kafka, Kubernetes or Terraform;\nUnderstanding of Continuous Delivery in cloud environments;\nGeneral understanding of the telecommunications industry.\nHow you’ll benefit:\nMedical Insurance (Allianz)\nLife Insurance (Uniqa)\nGlasses Reimbursement\nKafeteria (My Benefit)\nDiscretionary Time Off (DTO)\nVolunteer Time (VTO)\nEricsson Care Line\n#LI-YB1\nThere’s no perfect candidate.
