As an Engineering Lead, you'll combine strong individual technical contributions with team leadership. You'll be responsible for the technical direction of your squad, the growth of your engineers, and the delivery of high-impact projects. This is a hybrid IC/manager role - you'll still write code, but your leverage is through the team.\nLead the technical direction and architecture for your squad's domain\n\nDrive design reviews, set coding standards, and ensure engineering excellence\n\nOwn the full delivery of complex, cross-team technical initiatives\n\nBuild, scale and operate Node.js/TypeScript backend services on AWS/EKS\n\nDefine the infrastructure and reliability strategy for your team's systems\n\nPartner with Product and Data to translate business goals into technical roadmaps\n\nGrow engineers through 1:1s, code reviews, mentorship and technical coaching\n\nIdentify systemic risks and drive improvements before they become incidents\n\nBe an ambassador for engineering culture: psychological safety, pragmatism, and craft\n\nProfile (MUST have)\n7+ years of professional software engineering experience\n\n2+ years of experience leading an engineering team (formal or informal)\n\nExpert-level proficiency in TypeScript /Node.js\n\nGood knowledge of industry best practices (SOLID, KISS, YAGNI, DDD, TDD...)\n\nProven ability to own and deliver large technical projects with cross-team dependencies\n\nExcellent communication and stakeholder management skills\n\nTrack record of growing engineers and building high-performing teams\n\nAbility to balance speed-of-delivery with long-term technical health\n\nProfile (Nice to have)\nAdvanced PostgreSQL - schema design at scale, performance tuning, migrations\n\nExperience with VueJS or frontend architecture decisions\n\nExperience with AWS infrastructure (EKS, Lambda, RDS/Aurora, SQS/SNS, CloudFront, ALB)\n\nInfrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CDK, Helm) at scale\n\nObservability and SRE practices: SLOs, error budgets, on-call management\n\nExperience operating in a hyper-growth or gaming/consumer product company\n\nPlatform engineering or developer experience background\n\nOur Stack\nTypeScript ;
