This program offers university students hands-on experience through project-based work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Throughout the program, Interns will have exposure to mentorship, networking, and professional development opportunities.\nThe Electrical Engineering intern will support Voyager Technologies at one of the following locations:\nSan Diego, CA\nHouston, TX\nLong Beach, CA\nPittsburgh, PA\nThe Electrical Engineering Intern will support the engineering team with a variety of activities related to electrical design, development, testing, documentation, and engineering support. This internship provides an opportunity to apply foundational electrical engineering knowledge to real-world projects while working alongside experienced engineers and cross-functional teams.\nThe intern may contribute to projects involving electrical design, component selection, circuit development, engineering documentation, testing, troubleshooting, or other electrical engineering activities based on current business and engineering priorities.\nResponsibilities\nAssist with electrical engineering design, development, and analysis activities for assigned projects.\nSupport the creation, review, and maintenance of electrical schematics, drawings, models, documentation, and other engineering artifacts.\nAssist with creating, updating, and maintaining engineering parts, components, libraries, and technical databases.\nSupport mid-level and senior engineers with project-related engineering tasks and deliverables.\nAssist with component research, selection, and documentation as appropriate.\nParticipate in electrical testing, troubleshooting, and evaluation activities as appropriate.\nSupport the collection, organization, and analysis of engineering data and test results.\nAssist with documenting technical information, design decisions, processes, and test activities.\nCollaborate with electrical, mechanical, systems, software, manufacturing, and other cross-functional teams as needed.\nParticipate in engineering reviews, team meetings, training sessions, and other learning opportunities.\nContribute ideas for process improvement, engineering efficiency, and operational effectiveness.\nComplete assigned projects and deliverables accurately and within established timelines.\nRequirements\nCurrently enrolled in an undergraduate program at an accredited university, preferably pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.\nDemonstrated understanding of fundamental electrical engineering principles and concepts.\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.\nAbility to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.\nStrong communication, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.\nAbility to learn and apply new engineering tools, processes, and methodologies.\nFamiliarity with electrical engineering design, simulation, or documentation tools preferred.\nAbility to travel for in-person orientation and program kickoff, as well as for the final presentation at program completion.\nPreferred Qualifications\nPrevious internship, coursework, academic project, laboratory experience, or other relevant experience related to electrical engineering.\nExperience with circuit design, schematic capture, PCB design, electrical testing, or troubleshooting.\nFamiliarity with electrical engineering software or tools such as Altium, MATLAB, LTspice, or similar platforms.\nExperience working with engineering drawings, component libraries, bills of materials, or technical documentation.\nHands-on experience with laboratory equipment, test equipment, prototyping, or electronics development.\nExposure to multidisciplinary engineering projects or cross-functional development environments.\nHourly Pay Range: $27.00 - $37.00 per hour\n*Hourly rate determined by academic year, college major, line of business, geography \nPlease click “Apply” to submit your application.\nTo conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.\nVoyager is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
