The person in this position will support the development of high-technology space programs. Tasks will include development of component requirements, parts selection, and addressing obsolescence while working closely with design engineers, supply chain, quality, and reliability engineers. The person in this position needs to coordinate with Engineering (Project, Design, Manufacturing, etc) to ensure quality and adherence to design requirements. The person in this position will drive part standardization by recommending re-use of parts in the database (when appropriate to do so), will work with component manufacturers and distributors to attain their product roadmaps. He/She will be responsible for ECAD library maintenance and new parts introduction in the ECAD library. He/She will also review Product Change Notices (PCNs) and GIDEP (Government-Industry Data Exchange Program) alerts for their impact on components used, will advise concerned teams upon such alerts, and will be responsible for Data Management and Part Number Management. \nIf your experience aligns with our basic qualifications and you are inspired by our mission, we’d like to connect. If you don’t see the right role right now,Join Our Talent Communityand stay connected as we continue to build what’s next. \nRequirements: \nBachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related engineering field and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience. \nUnderstanding of EEE parts qualification and screening requirements. \nSome knowledge of JEDEC, EIA, and IPC standards as well as applicable military, NASA (EEE-INST-002), and ESA standards. \nSome knowledge of Quality Assurance and practices for Electronic Component Management Plan (ECMP). \nKnowledge of space design requirements, processes, and applications. \nExperience with, but not limited to, passive and active electronic components, processors, memories, connectors, wires and cables, metal finishes, tin whisker mitigation, lead-free control, etc. \nSome understanding of analysis techniques like thermal, structural, high-speed digital, impedance control, etc. \nUnderstanding configuration management, requirements, traceability, and related processes. \nAble to work independently with minimum supervision, positive attitude and highest ethics \nAble to work collaboratively with a cross-functional team. \nCapable of multi-tasking; working on multiple projects & supporting production activities \nStrong communication and documentation skills. \nGreat problem-solving skills. \nPreferred Skills: \nExperience with Microsoft Office tools. \nExperience with grading tools. \nThe good-faith base salary range for this role is $125,000-$160,000 at the time of this post. Where you fall within the range depends on your experience, skills, and location. This range reflects base salary only and does not include benefits or bonus/incentives.
