We’re a company of doers, thinkers and builders, united by purpose and grounded in reality. \nIf you want to put your skills to work where the stakes are real and the mission is bigger than any one person, forge the future with Voyager. \nAbout the Role\nWe are seeking a proactive, business-minded Contracts Manager to lead contract strategy, negotiation, and execution across a portfolio of commercial and government-facing programs.\nThis role requires the ability to operate across a range of contracting environments, including commercial fixed-price agreements and contracts incorporating U.S. Government regulatory frameworks (e.g., FAR/DFARS).\nThe Contracts Manager will serve as a strategic partner across Program Management, Engineering, Finance, and Supply Chain helping drive disciplined contract execution, protect margins, and enable scalable growth. This role works cross-functionally across the organization and interfaces directly with customers, partners, and suppliers.\nReporting Structure & Location\nThis role reports to the Senior Director Contracts and sits within the Contracts department. The position is onsite, based out of Littleton, CO and may have multi-site responsibility.\nWhat You'll Do\nOwn Contract Strategy & Lifecycle \nManage contracts across the full lifecycle: RFP - proposal - negotiation - award - execution - closeout \nLead contract structuring and positioning to support favorable business outcomes \nEnsure contract documentation, compliance, and audit readiness \nLead Negotiations & External Engagement \nNegotiate directly with primes, customers, and suppliers on terms, pricing structures, and changes \nServe as the primary contractual point of contact with customers and partners \nRepresent the company with professionalism and credibility in all external interactions \nIdentify Risk & Drive Mitigation \nIdentify contractual, financial, and operational risks early and proactively drive mitigation strategies \nEvaluate: Scope risk / scope creep \nPricing exposure \nCompliance and regulatory risk \nAdvise leadership with clear, actionable recommendations \n\nSupport Proposal & Business Development \nReview solicitations and shape proposal strategy and contract structure \nPartner with Finance and BD on pricing alignment and contract positioning \nSupport evaluation of opportunities, including risk/reward tradeoffs \nEnsure Compliance & Enable Future Government Work \nEnsure compliance with: \nFAR / DFARS (current flowdowns → future direct contracts) \nITAR / export controls \nInternal policies and audit requirements \nInterpret clauses and ensure proper flowdowns to subcontractors and suppliers \nSupport readiness for CPSR and increased government scrutiny \nDrive Cross-Functional Execution \nAct as a true business partner, not just a contracts administrator \nWork across: Programs \nEngineering \nFinance (pricing, revenue recognition) \nLegal and compliance \n\nHelp resolve contract issues quickly and keep programs moving \nMust be able to travel between multiple sites, as needed\nQualifications\nRequired\nBachelor’s degree (Business, Finance, Contracts, or related) \n10+ years of experience in contracts \nStrong experience with: \nCommercial FFP contracts\nFAR/DFARS (flowdowns required; prime experience preferred)\nDemonstrated ability to: \nNegotiate complex agreements independently\nAnalyze and mitigate contractual risk\nWork cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment \nPreferred\nExperience transitioning from commercial → government contracting environments\nProfessional certification (NCMA - CPCM/CCCM)\nExperience with aerospace, defense, or advanced manufacturing \nCompensation & Benefits\nThe good faith base salary range for this role is $ 140,000 - $165,000 at the time of this posting. Where you fall within the range depends on your experience, skills, and location. This range reflects base salary only and does not include benefits or bonus/incentive compensation.
