In this role, you will install, troubleshoot, and maintain a wide variety of electrical and low voltage systems across our facilities and customer sites - including power distribution, instrumentation, security, access control, surveillance, and structured cabling. You will work alongside engineers and project leads to ensure all systems meet performance, safety, and regulatory requirements.\nKey Responsibilities\nElectrical Systems\nInstall, configure, calibrate, and maintain electrical systems including sensors, controllers, and control panels.\nProficient in conduit installation including EMT, Rigid, and use of hydraulic benders.\nKnowledge of Class 1, Division 1 electrical installations.\nExperienced with proper lockout/tagout (LOTO) applications and arc flash boundary safety.\nTroubleshoot electrical faults using test equipment such as multimeters, meggers, and thermal cameras.\nRead and interpret electrical schematics, P&IDs, loop diagrams, and technical manuals.\nPerform routine and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.\nEnsure all work complies with NEC, NFPA 70E, and applicable OSHA standards.\nKnowledge of operating elevated work platforms.\nPerform Corrective and preventative maintenance and submit into CMMS accordingly.\nSupport additional duties for operational needs\nLow Voltage Systems\nInstall, terminate, test, and commission low voltage cabling and equipment including CCTV/IP cameras, access control, intrusion detection, structured cabling (Cat5e/Cat6/fiber), intercoms, and AV systems.\nConfigure and program control panels, IP cameras, VMS platforms, and access control systems.\nUnderstanding of TCP/IP networking fundamentals, VLANs, and PoE as applied to physical security systems.\nKnowledge of applicable codes including NFPA 72, NEC Article 725, and TIA-568/606 standards.\nDocumentation & Coordination\nDocument all work performed including calibration records, maintenance logs, and as-built drawings.\nCoordinate with engineers, project managers, and other technicians to support project schedules and deliverables.\nParticipate in commissioning, startup, and testing activities for new installations.\nProvide technical guidance to field crews and junior technicians; review work for quality and code compliance.\nSupport continuous improvement initiatives and provide technical feedback to engineering teams.\nRequired Qualifications\nHigh school diploma or GED; completion of an accredited electrical apprenticeship or technical program preferred.\nMinimum 2-3 years of hands-on experience with electrical systems in an industrial, commercial, or field service environment.\nExperience with at least one low voltage system type: IP video/VMS, access control, intrusion alarms, structured cabling, or AV systems.\nAbility to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and P&IDs.\nValid driver's license and ability to travel to customer sites as required.\nPreferred Qualifications & Certifications\nCandidates with the following certifications and skills will receive priority consideration:\nJourneyman Electrician license\nOSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Construction/General Industry certification\nNFPA 70E Arc Flash Safety training\nExperience with DCS/SCADA/PLC systems; working knowledge of 4-20 mA loops, HART protocol, and analog/digital signal troubleshooting\nIndustry certifications such as BICSI, ESA/NTS, Lenel OnGuard, Genetec, or Axis\nExperience in defense, aerospace, or government facility environments (ICD 705, SCIF)\nPrior military technical MOS or equivalent service background is a plus\nWork Environment & Physical Requirements\nWork may be performed indoors and outdoors in varied weather and environmental conditions.\nMust be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in confined spaces, at heights, and on ladders or scaffolding.\nUse of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required and provided.\nSome travel and occasional extended hours may be required to meet project deadlines.\nSecurity & Clearance\nSome positions or projects may require the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance (Secret or above); active clearance preferred. U.S. citizenship or permanent residency may be required. Voyager Technologies conducts pre-employment background checks and drug screening.\nThe good faith base hourly range is $31.50 - $40.00 for this role is at the time of this posting. Where you fall within the range depends on your experience, skills, and location. This range reflects base salary only and does not include benefits or bonus/incentive.
