We’re a company of doers, thinkers and builders, united by purpose and grounded in reality. \nIf you want to put your skills to work where the stakes are real and the mission is bigger than any one person,forge the future with Voyager. \nThe Electromechanical Technician for Voyager Lunar Systems is responsible for supporting the assembly, repair, and testing of electronic assemblies, cable assemblies, and electromechanical assemblies.\nThe position reports to the Lead Electromechanical Technician and is part of the Manufacturing, Integration, and Test team based in Pittsburgh, PA. This role is onsite based in Pittsburgh, PA. \nIn this role, the essential functions are:\nFabricate, assemble, and test cable harnesses including crimping, soldering, shielding, lacing, connector integration, and strain relief in compliance with aerospace workmanship standards such as IPC-A-620.\nWrite and maintain harness documentation such as wiring diagrams, pinout tables, build travelers, test procedures and inspection checklists.\nInspect completed harnesses and perform testing including continuity, insulation resistance, hipot, functional, and verification testing.\nAssemble electromechanical subassemblies, hardware, brackets, and mechanical components for test articles and flight hardware.\nPerform integration of electromechanical systems for ground support equipment, test articles, and support system-level integration on spacecraft.\nSupport spacecraft and component environmental testing, including on-site and offsite test activities such as fit checks, vibration, thermal, and acoustic testing.\nManage and maintain the electrical lab space including tool calibration tracking, ESD compliance, consumables inventory, equipment upkeep (oscilloscopes, power supplies, crimp tools, solder stations), and safe lab practices.\nIf your experience aligns with our basic qualifications and you are inspired by our mission, we’d like to connect. If you don’t see the right role right now, Join Our Talent Community and stay connected as we continue to build what’s next. \nMinimum Qualifications:\nHigh school, secondary school or equivalent with a minimum of 4 years of experience or associate degree and a minimum of 2 years of related experience.\nExperience with common job-related hand tools, common power tools, machine shop tools and test equipment.\n2+ years of experience using basic mechanical, electronics hand tools, and/or electronics equipment (e.g. programmable power supplies, DMMs, current probes, oscilloscopes).\nExperience with integration and testing of electrical and mechanical systems.\nAbility to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.\nAbility to read and interpret engineering documentation, schematics, wiring diagrams, and harness drawings.\nDemonstrated understanding of ESD-safe handling practices.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nIPC-610, IPC/WHMA-A-620, IPC-J-STD-001 certifications.\nStrong working knowledge of workmanship, contamination control, and hardware handling requirements for spaceflight electronics.\nTravel, Physical, and/or Government Mandated Requirements: \nAbility to stand, sit, bend, reach, and perform hands-on assembly for extended periods.\nAble to lift and move heavy items up to 50 lbs.\nVoyager offers a highly competitive total compensation package designed to support the well-being, growth, and success of our employees.
