We’re a company of doers, thinkers and builders, united by purpose and grounded in reality. \nIf you want to put your skills to work where the stakes are real and the mission is bigger than any one person,forge the future with Voyager. \nThe Senior Electrical Engineer for space technology is responsible for designing, testing, integrating, and operating spaceflight avionics and electrical hardware to advance space-based programs and ensure the reliability and performance of electrical systems.\nThe position reports to the Senior Director of Engineering and is part of the Engineering team based inHouston, TX.\nIn this role, the essential functions are:\nLead the design and development of space-qualified electronics including power supplies, power distribution systems, command and data handling systems, electromagnetic filters, sensors, integrated flight computers, and electrical cables and harnesses.\nOversee PCB design including schematic layout and routing, symbol and footprint creation, and generation of fabrication files and assembly drawings.\nAuthor technical documents including assembly instructions, test procedures, interface requirements, and test and analysis reports.\nUtilize test and measurement equipment - including digital multi-meters, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and logic analyzers - to conduct electrical development and troubleshooting.\nPerform and/or oversee qualification and acceptance testing on batteries, capacitors, containment vessels, and other safety-critical flight hardware.\nReview payload designs and provide feedback to payload developers to ensure compatibility and compliance with Voyager and NASA requirements.\nSupport proposal efforts by documenting technical approaches, providing solutions for proposal challenges, and contributing to cost and schedule estimates.\nDeliver regular status reports to Engineering management and Program/Project managers, and maintain traceability controls for electrical components, sub-components, systems, lab tools, and test equipment.\nIf your experience aligns with our basic qualifications and you are inspired by our mission, we’d like to connect.
