We’re a company of doers, thinkers and builders, united by purpose and grounded in reality.\nIf you want to put your skills to work where the stakes are real and the mission is bigger than any one person, forge the future with Voyager.\nThe Senior Propulsion Test Engineer for Propulsion Systems is responsible for providing deep technical ownership across development, qualification, and acceptance test phases for solid and liquid rocket motor programs, including anomaly leadership and program-level interface.\nThe position reports to the Propulsion Test Engineering Manager or Principal Engineer and is part of the Propulsion Test & Evaluation. This role is onsite based in Pueblo, Colorado.\nIn this role, the essential functions are:\nLead test planning and design for motor development and qualification campaigns, defining instrumentation requirements and facility configurations.\nOwn anomaly investigation activities including root cause analysis, failure mode assessment, and corrective action development.\nInterface with systems engineers and program managers on test flow, schedule, and technical risk.\nReview and approve test procedures, hazard analyses, and range safety packages.\nPresent test results and technical findings directly to program leadership and customer representatives.\nMentor Level I and II engineers; conduct technical peer reviews of test plans and reports.\nSupport customer and government range authority reviews and test readiness board presentations.\nIf your experience aligns with our basic qualifications and you are inspired by our mission, we’d like to connect. If you don’t see the right role right now, Join Our Talent Community and stay connected as we continue to build what’s next.\nBachelor's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering with 5 years of direct rocket motor static fire test experience OR Master's degree with 3 years OR 9 years of experience in lieu of a degree.\nDemonstrated experience in solid rocket motor, liquid propulsion, or hybrid system test engineering.\nExperience with MIL-SPEC acceptance test planning (e.g., MIL-DTL-23641 or comparable standard).\nStrong working knowledge of motor performance modeling tools such as ballistics codes or CEA.\nAbility to hold and maintain an active DoD Secret security clearance.\n5 years of experience leading technical tasks or test campaigns of increasing scope and complexity.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nMaster's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering.\nExperience supporting DoD or NASA program test readiness reviews or formal acceptance testing.\nTravel, Physical and/or Government Mandated Requirements:\nMust be able to work on-site at a rocket motor test facility; some outdoor work required.\nAbility to lift, move, or carry items or equipment up to 50 pounds.\nThis position requires access to information protected under U.S. export control laws and regulations, including ITAR. Applicants must be U.S. persons or eligible to obtain the required export authorization.\nThe good faith base salary range for this role is $102,000-$128,000 at the time of this posting. Where you fall within the range depends on your experience, skills, and location. This range reflects base salary only and does not include benefits or bonus/incentive.
