We’re a company of doers, thinkers and builders, united by purpose and grounded in reality. \nIf you want to put your skills to work where the stakes are real and the mission is bigger than any one person,forge the future with Voyager. \nThe Senior Systems Engineer is responsible for planning, leading and conducting system requirements development, system design, system integration, qualification, testing and oversight of the entire life cycle of our Compute, Camera, and Radio portfolios.\nThe position reports to the Systems Engineering Manager and is part of the Engineering department based in San Diego, CA. This role is fully onsite.\nIn this role, the essential functions are:\nWork with a cross functional team of Customers, Engineers, and Program Management to develop a requirements verification and compliance matrix and ensure all customer requirements are satisfied with appropriate test methods, reports and artifacts\nDesign and finalize top-level system architecture and block diagrams with partitioning of design and details of subassembly interconnections\nDefine top level internal and external interfaces and control documents\nEnsure that the system architecture is realizable, testable, maintainable, supportable\nPerform optimization activities, analysis and trade studies\nSupport integration, verification, and validation\nCommunicate to the Project and Design Engineers their requirement allocations, interface requirements and design budgets, including derived requirements to each board boundary\nDevelop system level verification, qualification, acceptance and production test flow and test plans\nDevelop coherent product specifications and design documentation\nAdhere to Voyager Technologies Standard Operating Procedures and quality standards\nCoordinate and provide technical leadership to engineering design teams during the development of compute, camera, and radio products.\nIf your experience aligns with our basic qualifications and you are inspired by our mission, we’d like to connect. If you don’t see the right role right now,Join Our Talent Community and stay connected as we continue to build what’s next. \nBachelor's Degree (or equivalent experience in a relevant field) in engineering or systems engineering with a minimum work experience of 8 years with BS\nFamiliarity with requirements management software (e.g. JAMA, DOORS, etc.)\nLeadership experience with a proven ability to drive projects and teams to successful completion\nExperience leading deeply technical product development\nExperience with flight-software systems\nExperience with ground-system software and mission operations\nExperience in software development with emphasis on embedded systems\nExperience with embedded processors/microcontrollers such as ARM, PowerPC, x86, TI-DSP, 8051, etc, using RTOSes or bare metal.\nExperience with software configuration management and issue tracking tools\nExperience with agile development\nExperience with interface buses/protocols used in embedded systems such as PCI, RS-422/232, SPI, CameraLink, SpaceWire, Ethernet, CAN, etc\nExperience with programming, particularly in C, C++, Python or other scripting and test languages\nMust be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance at the level required for the position and applicable government contract. The position also requires appropriate access eligibility and a need-to-know. Clearance eligibility is determined by the U.S. Government.\nThe good faith base salary range for this role is$165,000-$205,000 at the time of this posting. Where you fall within the range depends on your experience, skills, and location. This range reflects base salary only and does not include benefits or bonus/incentive.
