Work side-by-side with the engineering teams to lead and guide the detailed technical design, development, integration and testing for advanced hardware and software solutions for propulsion systems and vertical takeoff and landing (VTVL) vehicles. Hybrid onsite in Mojave.\n\nThe Systems Engineering group consists of highly skilled engineers working across multiple disciplines to ensure that every component, subsystem, and interface meets the required standards for safety, performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness. We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Systems Engineer to work our VTVL vehicle programs.\nJob Responsibilities:\nWork side-by-side with the engineering teams to lead and guide the detailed technical design, development, integration and testing for advanced hardware and software solutions for propulsion systems and vertical takeoff and landing (VTVL) vehicles including:\nConcept of operations\nMission and system requirements\nDesign configuration\nTechnical budgets\nTrade Studies\nLaunch vehicle requirements\nFault management\nInterface control\n V&V and test planning\nTechnical risk and mitigation plan identification\nPreparing and delivering technical documentation and reporting\nLeading technical presentations and/or demonstrations during concept development and engineering development phases\nAssisting with technical proposals for mission and technology development opportunities\n Communicating with partners and customers to resolve technical risks and challenges relating to the system and/or customer requirements\nRequired Skills & Qualifications:\nDemonstrated experience in multiple (not all) of the following areas: liquid propellant rocket systems, propulsion systems, avionics or electronics systems, software engineering and development, embedded systems engineering, systems engineering, systems integration and test, verification and validation, and/or system configuration management\nDemonstrated experience as the technical lead implementing the full life cycle of design, development, manufacturing, testing, and operations. Must be able to demonstrate hands-on hardware experience.\nStrong organizational and problem-solving skills\nExcellent oral and written communication skills\nDemonstrated experience interfacing with internal and external organizations.\nB.S. in Engineering or related technical field plus 5 years of relevant launch vehicle mission experience including demonstrated leadership roles. Relevant advanced degree will be considered in lieu of equivalent experience.\nPreferred Skills & Qualifications:\nExperience developing liquid propellant rocket propulsion systems, from feasibility studies through flight and mission operations.\nKnowledge of system manufacturing and V&V plans for propulsion systems\nDemonstrated experience operating in an AS9100 or ISO9000 environment.\nDemonstrated experience working in an agile environment, using organizational tools such as Confluence and Jira.\nExperience with requirements management tools such as Jama.\nFamiliarity with 14 CFR Part 450, AFSPCMAN 91-710, and/or ARP4761\nFamiliarity with structural engineering.\nKnowledgeable of system V&V planning.\nKnowledgeable of reliability engineering and analysis.\nKnowledgeable of range safety compliance.\n\nVoyager offers a highly competitive total compensation package designed to support the well-being, growth, and success of our employees.
