You'll work alongside senior engineers on the analog and mixed-signal electronics behind our LiDAR modules - getting hands-on with schematic design, lab bring-up, and validation from day one, with direct mentorship and room to grow into greater ownership.\nKey Responsibilities\nSupport analog and mixed-signal circuit design - TIAs, ADCs, precision current sources, and power supplies (LDOs, switching regulators) - under the guidance of senior engineers.\n\nAssist with schematic capture, component selection, and PCB layout coordination for hardware modules.\n\nExecute bring-up, characterization, and validation testing (EVT/DVT) against defined test plans, and document results clearly.\n\nRun signal integrity, power integrity, and basic EMI/EMC checks, with senior engineer review.\n\nBuild hands-on proficiency with GHz-range oscilloscopes, VNAs, spectrum analyzers, and other precision lab equipment.\n\nCollaborate day-to-day with system architects, mechanical engineers, and firmware teams on integration tasks.\n\nQualifications\nExperience: 0-3 years of hands-on hardware experience (internships, co-ops, and substantial academic or personal project work count).\n\nEducation: BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or a related field.\n\nTechnical Strengths:\nSolid grounding in analog and digital circuit design fundamentals.\n\nComfort working in a lab environment and eagerness to build hands-on measurement skills.\n\nTools & Skills:\nExposure to schematic capture tools (e.g., Altium or similar) and basic SPICE simulation.\n\nFamiliarity with fundamental test equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies).\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nCoursework or project experience in photonics, optics, or sensing systems.\n\nExposure to PCB layout, FPGA/microcontroller integration, or Verilog/Verilog-AMS.\n\nPersonal projects, competition teams (e.g., robotics, motorsports, CubeSat), or research involving analog or RF hardware.\n\nA demonstrated bias toward hands-on problem-solving and fast iteration in a startup environment.\n\nBenefits Package\nCompetitive base salary and a meaningful equity package.\n\nComprehensive health benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision).\n\nUnlimited PTO and paid company holidays.\n\nTeam events and company meetups.\n\nEqual Opportunity Employer\nVoyant Photonics is an equal opportunity employer committed to building a diverse and inclusive workplace.
