Title: Inspector Packer I\nFLSA: Non-Exempt\nEmployment Type: Full-time\nReports to: Lead or Supervisor\nJob Description Overview:\nThe Inspector Packer I will be responsible for pulling plastic items (preforms) from a box and placing on the conveyor and/or pulling product i.e., bottles and jars from a conveyor belt, inspecting per QC specifications and packaging them per packaging specifications.\nEssential Responsibilities:\nRemove plastic (preforms) from a box, inspecting them per quality specifications and placing them on a conveyor per work instructions.\nRemove plastic bottles/jars from conveyor belt, inspecting them per Quality specifications\nFollows all safety policies\nFollows GMP policies & guidelines\nPacking plastic bottles/jars per packaging specifications posted at work center.\nCommunicate any issues or quality concerns related to the product to co-workers, Lead or shift change co-workers\nInteracts with production equipment; starts & stops equipment as trained, clears machine jams as trained\nAssists in the documentation of quality or machine downtime data\nForms boxes & trays by hand as needed; operates box making machinery\nEnsures defects are separated and placed into proper categories\nPerforms machine cleaning and sanitation as required\nPerform housekeeping duties at work center or as directed by the Lead, Supervisor and/or Manager.\nFollow VPET's Quality Management system including procedures and work instructions.\nAny other tasks as assigned.\nEducation and/or Experience:\nHigh School diploma or equivalent preferred\nOther skills and abilities:\nMust be able to read, write and communicate in English\nMust be able to work with minimal supervision.\nAble to work effectively in a team as well as individually\nAttention to detail i.e., ability to follow verbal and written instructions\nAbility to work scheduled shift to include overtime and weekends as required.\nMust be committed to the success of the entire organization\nPhysical Requirements:\nRequirements include, but are not limited to:\nMust be able to sit, stand and walk for prolonged periods of time.\nMay be required to lift and carry up to 30 lbs.\nMust be able to push, pull, twist, climb, balance, stoop, kneel and crawl.\nMust be able to perform repetitive motions such as reaching and grasping.\nWork environment is in a warehouse and temperatures inside vary between hot or cold based on the outside conditions.\nThis is a fast-paced environment with constantly changing priorities.\nCompetitive Benefits:\nMedical
