This position is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production equipment and facility systems to ensure safe, efficient, and continuous manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills with experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, preferably within the plastics industry.\nEssential Responsibilities:\nPerform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment.\nTroubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and PLC-controlled systems.\nDiagnose equipment malfunctions and implement effective repairs to minimize downtime.\nPerform maintenance on plastic processing equipment including:\nInjection molding machines\nBlow molding machines\nExtrusion equipment\nConveyors\nCompressors\nChillers\nMaterial handling systems\nRead and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, technical manuals, and mechanical drawings.\nInstall, align, and calibrate new equipment and machinery.\nPerform welding, fabrication, machining, and equipment modifications as needed.\nInspect equipment for safety and operational efficiency.\nMaintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and preventative maintenance documentation.\nAssist with facility maintenance including HVAC, plumbing, lighting, electrical systems, and building repairs.\nRespond promptly to emergency equipment breakdowns.\nEnsure compliance with OSHA regulations, company safety policies, GMP requirements, and Lockout/Tagout procedures.\nMaintain a clean and organized work area following 5S principles.\nSupport continuous improvement initiatives to increase equipment reliability and reduce downtime.\nCommunicate equipment issues and repair status with production leadership and fellow\nmaintenance technicians.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nPallet jack experience preferred.\nMechanical ability is a plus!\nQualifications\nHigh school diploma or GED required.\nTechnical school, trade certification, or associate degree in Industrial Maintenance, Electrical Technology, Mechatronics, or related field preferred.\nMinimum of 3 years of industrial maintenance experience.\nPlastics manufacturing experience preferred.\nStrong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities.\nExperience working with PLC-controlled equipment preferred.\nAbility to safely use hand tools, power tools, precision measuring instruments, and diagnostic equipment.\nWelding and fabrication experience is a plus.\nForklift and aerial lift experience preferred.\nAbility to work independently with minimal supervision.\nStrong problem-solving and analytical skills.\nExcellent communication and teamwork skills.\nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities\nMechanical systems\n Electrical systems (120V-480V)\nPneumatic and hydraulic systems\nBearings, gearboxes, motors, pumps, conveyors\n Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)\n PLC troubleshooting (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar)\n Preventive Maintenance (PM) systems\n Root Cause Analysis (RCA)\nLean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement principles\nLockout/Tagout procedures\nOSHA safety regulations\n Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)\nPhysical Requirements:\nRequirements include, but are not limited to:\nMust be able to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time.\nMust be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.\nMust be able to push, pull, twist, climb, balance, stoop, kneel and crawl.\nMust be able to perform repetitive motions such as reaching and grasping.\nMust be able to perform overhead reaching to stack / unstack boxes.\nFast paced environment with constantly changing priorities.\nWork environment is in a warehouse and temperatures inside vary between hot or cold based on the outside conditions.\nPhysical Requirements\nFrequently stand and walk for up to 12 hours.\nLift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds regularly;
