Whether in the design and safety of new generations of cars, trucks, and planes or optimizing advanced medical equipment and consumer products, VPG’s deep engineering expertise makes the world safer, smarter, and more productive.\nWe are seeking a highly motivatedSupply Planner at Oragadam, Chennai to join our Planning team on a full-time basis.\nThe Supply Planner develops and executes supply plans that ensure the right products and materials are available at the right time. The role balances demand, production capability, supplier performance and inventory targets, while proactively identifying risks and leading recovery actions to protect customer service and revenue.\nWorking cross-functionally with Demand Planning, production, Logistics, Sales Operations and Customer Service, the Supply Planner converts business requirements into clear supply priorities, maintains planning data integrity and drives timely decisions through fact-based analysis.\nKey Responsibilities\n· Develop and maintain supply plans based on demand forecasts, customer orders, backlog, inventory policy and business priorities.\n· Review demand and supply exceptions, identify shortages or capacity constraints, and translate risks into clear mitigation and recovery plans.\n· Monitor inventory levels against service and inventory objectives, recommending actions to address shortages, excess and obsolete exposure.\n· Own material and product availability from a planning perspective, including requirement timing, prioritization, allocation and escalation.\n· Coordinate with Procurement, Manufacturing, Logistics and Demand Planning to align supply execution with customer and operational needs.\n· Track late backlog, due-date reliability and supply commitments; lead recovery plans and communicate impacts to relevant stakeholders.\n· Maintain accurate ERP/MRP planning parameters, including lead times, order policies, safety stock and other master-data settings within role scope.\n· Support production and capacity planning by highlighting demand changes, bottlenecks, material gaps and required trade-off decisions.\n· Support New Product Introductions and product transitions by ensuring supply, material and planning readiness.\n· Monitor supply-planning KPIs, explain gaps, identify root causes and drive corrective actions and continuous improvement.\n· Promote exception-based planning and reduce manual, reactive follow-up through disciplined processes, standard work and system usage.\nSkills & Competencies:\nStrong analytical and problem-solving capability, with confidence working with operational data.\nHigh ownership and accountability, with a consistent focus on execution and closure.\nAbility to prioritize across competing customer, inventory and operational requirements.\nClear communication and stakeholder-management skills, including constructive challenge and escalation.\nProactive, structured and resilient approach in a changing manufacturing environment.\nCommercial awareness and sound judgment when balancing service, inventory, capacity and supply risk.\nRequirements\nQualifications & Experience:\nBachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, Operations or a related field.\nMinimum 3 years of experience in supply planning, material planning, production planning or a comparable manufacturing role.\nStrong practical experience with ERP/MRP systems and planning master data.\nAdvanced Excel skills;
