We hire people who don't wait to be asked, naturally connect the dots, care about the quality of what they ship, and believe the best outcomes come from building together.\nAbout The Role\nVSCO is looking for a Senior Accountant to join our Accounting team and play an important role in both the day-to-day execution and continued evolution of our accounting operations.\nReporting directly to the Director of Accounting, this is a hands-on role with meaningful ownership across the month-end close, general ledger, audit readiness, and accounting systems and automation. You’ll own key areas of the close while also helping us build smarter, more scalable processes as VSCO continues to grow.\nThis is a great opportunity for an accountant who has built a strong technical foundation and is ready for greater ownership, visibility, and the opportunity to improve how an accounting function operates.\nYou’ll have the opportunity to:\nOwn meaningful portions of the month-end close from start to finish\nPartner directly with the Director of Accounting and gain visibility across the broader finance organization\nHelp modernize and automate accounting workflows\nPlay a key role in optimizing our ERP and AP and expense technology\nIdentify opportunities to make our close faster, more accurate, and more scalable\nBuild processes that can grow with the business rather than simply maintain what already exists\nWe are currently optimizing our ERP, Campfire, and evaluating opportunities to streamline our AP and expense technology stack. You’ll be an important partner in that work and will have the opportunity to influence how our accounting infrastructure evolves.\nThis is a hybrid role based in San Francisco, designed for someone who values the flexibility of focused work alongside intentional in-person collaboration with teammates and cross-functional partners.\nThe Day to Day\nOwn key month-end close activities, including balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, fixed assets, prepaid schedules, and related journal entries\nPrepare accurate journal entries and maintain clear, audit-ready supporting documentation\nMaintain and monitor day-to-day general ledger activity in Campfire\nPartner with the Director of Accounting to continuously improve the speed, accuracy, and scalability of the close process\nPlay a key role in the implementation and automation of our AP and expense platform, including workflow design, coding rules, and process improvements\nStrengthen reconciliation, documentation, and accounting processes in preparation for upcoming audits\nIdentify inefficiencies across AP, expenses, and the close process and take ownership of implementing practical solutions\nExplore responsible ways to leverage AI and automation to reduce repetitive work and improve accounting workflows\nSupport internal and external audit requests and help maintain strong, scalable accounting controls\nPartner cross-functionally with teams across VSCO as accounting needs and business priorities evolve\nQualifications\n4-6 years of progressive accounting experience with direct ownership of recurring month-end close responsibilities\nBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field\nStrong working knowledge of US GAAP and core accounting principles\nExperience working within an ERP and confidence learning new financial systems and tools\nAbility to independently own workstreams, solve problems, and manage competing priorities\nStrong attention to detail without losing sight of the broader business context\nClear, thoughtful written and verbal communication skills\nA proactive mindset and genuine interest in improving systems and processes rather than simply maintaining them\nComfort working in a lean, collaborative environment where priorities can evolve quickly\nNice to Have\nCPA\nExperience within a SaaS, technology, or high-growth company\nExperience with Campfire, Bill.com, Expensify, HubiFi, Ramp, Navan, or similar accounting and expense platforms\nExperience supporting an ERP, AP, or expense platform implementation or migration\nExperience using automation or AI tools to improve finance or accounting workflows\nJob Perks\nHybrid work with an office in San Francisco, CA\nRegular in-person events events to connect and collaborate\nCompetitive salary & equity \nMedical, dental, and vision insurance for employees and families\nFlexible Time Off\nCompany-paid parental, medical and caregiver leave\nOther perks including mental health resources and tech reimbursements\nCompensation\nThe base salary for this position will vary based on several factors, such as relevant experience, location and your approved internal leveling assessed during the interview process. The base salary range for this role is $135,000 - $145,000. Salary is one component of our total compensation package. This position also qualifies for equity (i.e. stock options) and is eligible for discretionary bonuses based on performance. \nThe benefits available for this position include flexible time off, a 401K retirement plan, insurance (medical, dental, vision, life/AD&D, short and long term disability), and 11 paid holidays. We also provide paid sick time as required by state and local law.
