The role ensures the efficient receipt, storage, control, movement, and dispatch of aircraft components and materials while maintaining compliance with regulatory, quality, and company requirements. Leading the Stores and Logistics teams, the Stores & Logistics Supervisor is accountable for inventory accuracy, material traceability, operational efficiency, and the timely support of production and customer requirements, whilst promoting the highest standards of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.\nDUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:\nResponsibilities include, but are not limited to:\nSupervise and coordinate the daily activities of the Stores, Goods In, and Dispatch functions.\nLead and develop Stores and Logistics personnel, ensuring effective workload planning, training, and performance management.\nEnsure the efficient receipt, inspection, storage, control, and issuance of aircraft components, consumables, tooling, tyres, and materials.\nOversee all inbound and outbound logistics activities, including customer deliveries, supplier collections, freight forwarding, and transportation providers.\nEnsure compliance with aviation regulations, company procedures, quality requirements, and audit standards relating to traceability, shelf-life control, airworthiness documentation, and part identification.\nMaintain accurate inventory records using the Quantum system and support regular stock counts, cycle counts, and inventory audits.\nInvestigate inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions to improve stock accuracy.\nMonitor stock levels and work closely with Procurement and Production Planning teams to ensure material availability and minimise operational disruption.\nEnsure the correct segregation and storage of serviceable, unserviceable, quarantine, hazardous, and customer-owned stock.\nCoordinate the movement of materials throughout the workshop to support operational requirements.\nManage and monitor third-party repair, overhaul, and calibration shipments, ensuring accurate administration and tracking.\nOversee customs documentation, import/export requirements, and freight forwarding activities where applicable.\nLiaise with transport providers to ensure goods are delivered safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively.\nMonitor logistics performance and identify opportunities for process improvements, cost reduction, and service enhancement.\nEstablish and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) related to inventory accuracy, dispatch performance, delivery reliability, and operational efficiency.\nEnsure stores and logistics areas are maintained to high housekeeping, safety, and environmental standards.\nSupport internal, customer, regulatory, and external audits as required.\nAssist in the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of stores, inventory, and logistics procedures.\nWork closely with Production, Engineering, Procurement, Customer Service, and Quality teams to support business objectives and customer requirements.\nMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:\nEducated to A-Level standard, NVQ Level 4/5, HNC/HND, or equivalent qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Warehousing, Engineering, Business Management, or a related.\nMinimum 3-5 years' experience within a stores, logistics, warehouse, inventory control, or supply chain role in an aviation, aerospace, engineering, manufacturing, or MRO environment. \nDemonstrable experience leading, supervising, or coordinating teams. \nGood understanding of aviation regulatory requirements, including EASA Part 145 requirements, traceability, airworthiness documentation, and quality standards. \nStrong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, material handling, and distribution processes. \nExperience using ERP, MRP, warehouse management, or inventory control systems. \nStrong organisational, planning, and problem-solving skills. \nAbility to prioritise workloads and manage multiple operational demands within a fast-paced environment. \nStrong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across multiple departments. \nProficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint. \nPREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:\nProfessional qualification in Logistics, Warehousing, Inventory Control, or Supply Chain Management (e.g. CILT, APICS, CPIM, CSCP, or equivalent). \nPrevious supervisory or team leadership experience within an aviation stores or logistics environment. \nExperience within an aircraft wheels and brakes maintenance, repair, or overhaul organisation. \nKnowledge of import/export processes, customs documentation, and freight forwarding operations. \nExperience developing and monitoring KPIs and implementing continuous improvement initiatives. \nUnderstanding of Safety Management Systems (SMS) and Quality Management Systems (QMS). \nCertified training in workplace safety, manual handling, or HSE-related disciplines.\nRotable Repairs Ltd are an equal opportunities employer and are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace.
