Manages work performed by contractors and consultants and provides general management of construction related jobs.Manage, direct, and coordinate construction projects for company campus, labs, and locations\nOversee project design and project schedules on proposed projects\nResponsible for delivering the project to the client in compliance with all contractual requirements and in accordance with Federal, State, and local law requirements\nProvide project budget estimates for building and site work on proposed projects\nCoordinate the identification of contractors, bid projects, contracts, develops and manages construction project budgets\nAnalyze specific site issues to determine appropriate scope of work needed\nIdentify site deficiencies and determines impact to budget. Coordinate the review of the content of construction drawings and procedures, prior to issue, in order that construction execution is optimized in the most cost effective and timely manner\nCoordinate with relevant staff, the development of the construction schedule and monitor the progress against that schedule\nMaintain communication with all external and internal team members and all other involved parties on matters pertaining to schedules, milestone action dates, and costs\nManage the work being undertaken to ensure full compliance with all relevant standards e.g. contract documents, specifications, method statements, client policy, procedures, and Federal, State, and local law requirements\nEnsure that client policy and procedures i.e. ISO 9000, ADA, local labor laws and safety procedures, are consistently implemented across the project, taking effective remedial action where non-compliance is identified\nInspect construction progress on a regular pre-determined schedule\nMonitor performance of suppliers and sub-contractors to determine compliance with contractual obligations\nEscalate issues arising from disputes or sub-standard performance\nResponsible for project closeout and reporting\nJob Specifications\nTypically has the following skills or abilities:\nBachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience\n4+ years of construction management experience\n4+ years of experience with financial, risk analysis, budgeting, making recommendations and preparing business cases including cost benefit analysis\nProven negotiation, project management, project estimating, and budgeting skills\nStrong knowledge of construction accounting practices\nAbility to effectively communicate information to a wide variety of technical and non-technical individuals or groups\nProven ability to understand and analyze site plans and construction documents\nProven ability to multi-task, prioritize and work under time constraints to meet deadlines\nStrong direction and delegations skills\nAbility to travel up to 25% of the time\nAbility to regularly exercises discretion and independent judgment the in performance of his/her job duties\nAbility to travel up to 50% across the US\nCompensationrange for the role is listed below.
