You’ll work with enterprise clients to shape technical strategy, guide best practices, and ensure seamless integration with their broader digital ecosystems.\nResponsibilities\nDesigning, developing, and maintaining backend services using Python (FastAPI preferred; Flask or Django also considered) and frontend applications using Vue.js\nBuilding and maintaining event-driven microservices, including PubSub-based messaging and asynchronous processing patterns\nDeveloping and optimizing PostgreSQL data models, including revision-based/audit-trail schemas, and writing and running Alembic migrations\nDeploying and managing services on GCP, including Cloud Run, GCS, IAM/service accounts, and Secret Manager\nBuilding and maintaining containerized applications with Docker, and supporting CI/CD pipelines via GitHub Actions\nImplementing effective security protocols, data protection measures, and storage solutions\nWriting testable, reusable, and efficient code across the stack, and integrating REST APIs between frontend and backend\nRunning diagnostic tests, troubleshooting defects, and providing technical support\nDocumenting engineering processes, including database schemas and system architecture, as well as preparing reports\nRecommending and implementing improvements to processes and technologies\nWhat you’ll need to be successful\nIdeally 6+ years of engineering experience in a full-stack capacity\nStrong hands-on experience with Python (FastAPI preferred; Flask or Django also considered)\nBuilding responsive, component-based user interfaces with Vue.js\nExperience with GCP services: Cloud Run, PubSub, GCS, IAM/service accounts, Secret Manager\nComfortable with event-driven microservice architecture (this is not a monolith-style role)\nExperience with revision-based/audit-trail data models\nAbility to write and run Alembic migrations\nWorking experience with PostgreSQL (AlloyDB experience a plus)\nFamiliarity with Docker and containerized deployments\nExperience with Terraform /Spacelift and GitHub Actions a plus\nNice to have: Elasticsearch experience\nGreat organizational and time management skills\nAvailability to resolve urgent application issues outside business hours occasionally\nSalary:\nThe hourly rate for this contract role is $50-$55 USD per hour.\nWe continually review ranges to address skills, experience, and markets.
